We need to BOYCOTT lottery games that are annuity-only.
Who is we? You are the only one complaining , others are playing only the games they like.

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
The Megamillions has stepped into record territory, territory certainly not predicted by my exponential model, since the model works with average data. However, I would not be surprised to see the model pick up as the run proceeds, assuming it does so.
With that in mind, I post the data, noting that right now it is considerably off the mark:
$437,034,541.61$260,234,20454.72%1.09%
Average Annuity$380,450,702.56$226,541,10058.73%1.99%
$315 $330,510,011.28$196,803,68962.52%3.38%

DON'T DO THIS!!
Don't do this:
1) play a game that's annuity-only (no cash option);
2) play NY Rotto (the lower prizes are terrible).

April's Big Jackpots
For Megamillions, no. I doubt it will hit 300 and certainly not roll again once it passes that mark. It will be another year of disappointment for Megamillion jackpots.
For Powerball it might hit the cap again at 390 but still can't break a record because of the lousy annuity they have.
I think the real winner this year on pots will be Euro Millions.

Why GA-KY-VA Lose for Life will flop
Also as I said many times before, annuity or cash, I could care less. As long as I am able to live better than I currently am now, and work is no longer a factor. Most cash options are not going to cut it, because the 'win for life' games are set up to be more easy to win, and with much lower odds.
Save the cash options for the big games like powerball, and MM. No one loses with a lifetime of checks, only a loser who did not know how to utilize them, or blows it all. A conservative spender c

Do You Think You'll Win The Lottery?
Add it to the list of many things you don't know. Choosing annuity is not being pessimistic. You are, in fact, the epitome of pessimism. When you spend your life looking through tunnel vision, you get a narrow viewpoint. There are a multitude of reasons to choose either, only the one who can choose has to worry about the outcome. Your position on the majority is ludicrous. It makes no sense whatsoever. At one time, the majority thought the world was flat. At one time, the majority though

EuroMillions Looking Good Again
PTS was nice enough to advise me that I was not a winner, yesterday. Isn't it cool. I don't even have to look it up. They send me mail saying I'm a loser. Makes ya happy to wake up and check your email! Great company!
Up to $45M+ cash! That is bigger then the annuity bait-and-swtich on both Powerball and Mega Million! Lets see, little cash value of $45M+ cas value. Decisions, decisions, decisions. IQ tests are really difficult!

Missouri couple wins $8.1 million Lotto jackpot
At their age, I would think that $250K a year, after taxes, would make them very happy. AND leave a nice trust fund for any grandchildren. There is a point in life, when you don't need a lump sum; especially when it is usually the elderly that become victums. A wrong decision and they are broke. Annuity eliminates that - or at least reduces it drastically!
I'm 64, and with a choice between $3.6M one time, or $250K a year, I'd grab the $250K immediately. $100M, now thats different! $3.6M

Ky. Lottery Under Fire For Scratch-Off Tickets
Clearly the Kentucky Lottery is not being up front with their players. Their notion of who cares if the top prizes are gone it's still fun to play is an insult to the intelligence of the players. What a crock!
I really like LotteryPlayer's idea! I think we should take it one step farther:
Bob, Human Resources: Here's you $40,000 salary.
John, Lottery Employee: $40,000? My contract says $100,000.
Bob: Yes that's correct and here's your $40,000.
John: I don't get it. My contrac

Why GA-KY-VA Lose for Life will flop
CASH Only,
Those are essentially academic choices. I asked how many times you've had to make the choice for cash option or annuity for actually winning the grand prize of a lottery. How many times will you have to make that choice for the new Win for Life game? How often will you ever even buy a Win for Life ticket in VA, KY, or GA? Hmmmmmmmm??? I'm willing to bet that the answers to those questions are None, None, and Never, respectively.Just let us know when you've managed to fix all the pr
