$14 million Illinois lottery jackpot expires
st germaine, before I call it a night, lemme comment on something I missed. This is about you mentioning outta the blue that you were successful at winning two jackpots. The fact that youre here at LP tells us you haven't been that fruitfully successful! what was it? A Pick 3 jackpot? Nice but not entirely impressive. I also advise you to prove whatever you claim, but you dont have to prove anything, and you already said you wont typical of someone trying to hide something, or trying to hide

mega millions and powerball joined as one
Quote: Originally posted by rabbitfoot on February 12, 2005I rather see two jackpots as opposed to just one. Like, let's spread the winnings around! Who needs $ 500 million or more? I need $500 million or more! :-)I don't think it would be a good idea for them to merge. But if they did, I think it would be only fair for them to double the starting jackpot and when the jackpot rolls....and have the drawing 3+ days a week. It would really be cool to have a $400 million jackpot and one winner

mega millions and powerball joined as one
Quote: Originally posted by mrmst on February 11, 2005I really hope they don't ever merge. I live in Maryland and play Mega Millions in my home state and Powerball in close by Pennsylvania. I like having multi-million dollar jackpots going 4 nights a week. Now if we just could get an additional national lottery to draw on Monday's and Thursday's, then I would only be bored on Sunday evenings!!!I agree! I play PB in CT and just go down the road to play MM in NY. Drawings four nights a week a

$20 Million Lotto South Jackpot Is Sixth Highest Ever
While many people's attention was diverted by the Super Bowl and other events, the Lotto South jackpot has been quietly growing. With no jackpot winner in Saturday's Lotto South drawing, the jackpot has grown to an estimated $20 million, which is the sixth highest amount since the game began in September 2001.Lotto South is played in Georgia, Kentucky, and Virginia with drawings at 11:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Its record-high jackpot was $26 million for the January 5, 2002 drawing.Ten

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
Quote: Originally posted by DoctorEw220 on February 9, 2005also, i like the idea of CA making their lower pries pari-mutuel. that way, the prizes across the game don't become pari-mutuel and players in other states don't get screwed because a bunch of CA players also matched 5 white balls. it can work in their favor, or against them though. they could be getting higher than normal prizes, or they could be getting lower than normal prizes.any word on a matrix change and what it may be to?All th

Mega Millions when CA joins
I hope they change it to anything else other than a $2 price ticket. The game needed to be changed BEFORE California. Now with California the average jackpot will really fall. I think we will see yet another year of low jackpots. The average mega pot is already $6 million less than powerball. With each added state it gets lower. If I had to pick it would be a 5/60 plus 1/33 that would give enough space on the play forms to have a void area incase of mistakes. Seven rows for the pick 5 and four ro

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
With the superlotto, a lot of people don't even play until a jackpot gets big. A new game... there will be a lot of interest in trying it. Big jackpots... it will be awesome. Huge ticket sales out here in Cali. I hope we see some winners from here. I do wish they would get rid of of the para-mutual somewhere down the line, so we would be where everyone else is with wins. I don't know when we will actually start the game... hope it will be soon. But I am excited about the idea of playing a new g

California Lottery to consider multi-state game
If California does join a game it will be Mega Millions. I mean Pennsylvania was a big state to join Powerball and a state with over 30 million...wow. Whatever game they do decide....even though I know it will be MM expect a matrix change. Probably a ticket price change to $2 and starting jackpots at least $20,000,000. They would not have to increase the matrix that much. I say they would make it 5/60 X 60. I believe that would make the odds 1 in 500 million which should be about right. I

indiana lottery corruption
also, the fact that a security employee knew where a top prize winnng instant ticket was, and told his friend, who wound up buying the winning ticket, where it was at is evidence enough that the hosier lottery needs some major reforms. they need to start using ball machines again. they need better secutiry on their games. they need to base the hoosier lotto jackpots on a combination of a minimum rollover and sales. also, the fact that they sold an unclaimed jackpot winning powerball ticket back

Montana Lottery- My Way.
Here's what I would do to improvoe the Montana Lottery.Pick 3/ Pick 4: First, I would introduce those games to Montanans. There would be a Mid-Day drawing at 12:59, and an Evening drawing at 10:59.Montana Cash: Keep it at 2 plays for $1, but I would make it a 5/37 game and increase the starting jackpot tp $50,000, and it would be drawn 7 days a week.Lotto: I would first introduce the game, and it would be drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays. Jackpots would start at $2 million annuity with a cash optio
