Yes, and I've read that many other states continue to sell scratch tickets after all prize money has been paid, but I'm not sure if they are only talking about the big prizes. If they have the same concept as New Jersey, it doesn't matter what the state where you win does about taxes. You win in Powerball, say in Pennsyvania, and live in New Jersey, you are screwed. @ryanm:I'm not so sure you are correct when you say they would be out of business. Powerball has a minimum annuity jackpot of $15 million. At a cash value of less than 50% that's still $7 million. I dont normally play scratch offs. I like the Nightly Michigan Keno Game instead.The odds are better than for scratch tickets and the prizes are better.
