NC Not Televising Draws
For 2 nights in a row, NC has not shown the drawings in Charlotte NC. I don't know what's happening but it's like it would be if it were computerized drawings. They just post the numbers on the screen later. Please help us out and express your disapproval on this, here's the only contact e-mail address on the website. They will be hearing from me. I wonder if the drawing was shown anywhere else. playerinfo@lotterync.net

So sad for Ohio
Yesterday, Ohio held it's first drawings for the new Ten-OH game (Midday and Evening). So, of course, Lottery Post has all the results on the Ohio Results page. The sad part? Ohio has now dropped from an A+ to a B on the State Lottery Report Card, thanks to the computerized drawings used for Ten-OH.

Computerized drawings coming to OHIO
There are some people that will naturally take a blas approach to this, like it's no big deal. Maybe you don't realize that lottery directors would much rather just conduct computerized drawings all day, because it's much easier. If they don't meet resistance at each stage, they will continue converting games. It's just a matter of when. Don't you know? That's how these states converted all through the West. Their residents didn't put up a big stink about it, and now they have 100% fake

do the lotteries have people researching systems and methods?
Perhaps. If a state has computerized drawings the officials want to make sure that no one is trying to break into the system to manipulate it in some way. For ball drawings it's timing. There is a specific amount of time set aside for the drawings, it's how much time is spent between when the machines are turned on when the #s are selected. Furthermore it goes back to pretesting. Again, timing the amount of pretests.

The lotto is IMPOSSIBLE to win
The same-person issue notwithstanding, the problem is that the pattern is either invented (as a sample but without actual data backing it) and/or it is flawed (too many drawings for one month). IF that were from an actual Lotto game I'd be very interested... but it sounds like something coming from Grandpa Simpson. As far as I know..the program generating the computerized drawings, is probably similar to the random-number generator in a typical home computer.. sampling the random vibratio

The "no-no" ticket as a lead to a quick pick
Just as a matter of curiosity, I've played around with this sort of thing in the past to see if I could seed the lottery terminal QP generator. I never could discern any definitive correlation except that the QPs I got often contained one or two of the same numbers that I tried to seed with. Since the drawings and lottery terminal QPs are separately and independently determined, it's probably not very realistic to think that the terminal can be tricked into spitting out winning combinations.

Lucky For Life
Cash, you're beginning to sound like Jimmy now-- switching to computerized drawings? In other words, RIGGED drawings? Cash, have you lost your MIND? The LFL Ticket Cost IS one dollar TOO high BUT it's a wonderful number field. Get over it, it's not being retired (still no word on the website which leads me to think they KNOW it's profitable-- for them AND us.)

Is the Lottery (PB/MM) corrupt?
I've heard of ball drawings being sabotaged. I saw a feature on PBS' Frontline many years ago about how a drawing was rigged by injecting fluid into some of the balls to alter the weight of them. It was supposedly done by the on air host. I don't trust computerized drawings that much because if they are rigged, it's alot harder to find out how than it is with ball drawings. My point is both kinds of drawings can be compromised, but I prefer ball drawings all the same. PrisonerSix

Is any State Run Lottery Honest?
Yes, and I've read that many other states continue to sell scratch tickets after all prize money has been paid, but I'm not sure if they are only talking about the big prizes. If there are no smallerprizes to be won, then that's total fraud and the tickets should be pulled immediately once that is determined. I agree totally that advertising jackpots which are, in reality, 50% of what a winner will get BEFORE taxes is misleadingbut most people now realize what a cash value is versus an annuit

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
I'm not signing, and I realize I'm in the vocal minority here (yeah, I read all the posts in this thread). I've read the arguments presented in the petition and I'm aware of the problems that have occurred historically with computer drawn games. I think that a campaign that flat out opposes computerised drawings just adds to the technophobia which fuels the public's alleged lack of confidence in such drawings. I personally think that the interests of the lottery playing community (here in the St
