Calif. lottery director to resign
First of all, the Lottery Act DOES NOT in any way prohibit CA from participating in a multi-state game. All the tickets are sold here and all monies received/paid here. The Attorney General (who is a jerk) even agrees - the only one who doesn't are the Legislative attorney - you really believe he's going to tell one of his bosses he's wrong? About time Chon left - the only good thing he did was make them invest the vendor savings they got in the new GTECH contract towards Scratcher prizes. Sti

EuroMillions and US Taxes
My plan - exactly. Can't be sued if you own nothing. Including cell-phones, furnishings, travel. Everything you spend would be an expense account expenditure, reimburshed by the corporation. I would think you could follow the same pattern for friends you want to be rich; ala the CEO of Disney. Hire your friend and have their contract cover all expenses and provided corporation housing, cars, etc. All they would have to pay in employment tax on minimum wage (which would be zero). Heck, they coul

Why gamble at Online Lottery Sites?
Well, excuse me for commenting...on a forum Practically it is true, its simple math. For the same money :- you buy 1 ticket,- i buy 2 tickets. The cheap/expensive-issue is as it seems not be solved, since it depends on what a person might want and can spend on the game. Must be something like colors and taste.Anyway, it would become alot less expensive, half the price even, if Americans who wants to play euromillions, had a sort of contact in Europe, then they could play the game at the normal rat

Out of tickets?
Sure has happens all the time see there are some things that might be going on here. One thing is the place where you went to get the tickets has a contract with the lottery they have to pay for the books they bought and they have to pay in advance for the books they get. If the owners had to pay a big bill to somebody else then they might not have had the cash to buy more tickets. Rest assured if they want to continue selling tickets they will come up with the cash to get a new order. Two they m

Connecticut Gov. considers dumping Powerball
Maybe not, but every State with a PB contract would be doing their residents a service if they made a major show of debating the issue in the legislatures, in the committees, and in the press.PB needs to know there's more to making major changes to the system than sitting down in a boardroom with the shades pulled, listening to the MBAs, the accountants, the PR and marketing yes-men and the shysters, then sending everyone out while they make a choice involving a lot of lottery players spread all

LOTTO syndicates need rules
LOTTO syndicates should draw up simple rules governing how they play in order to avoid rows and costly legal battles after a big win.Contract lawyer Nigel Adams said in light of recent high profile court cases in this country and in Britain, lottery syndicates should have a written agreement in place from the start to avoid confusion and ambiguity over the ownership of lottery tickets.Last December the High Court in Dublin ruled that a Co Mayo man was entitled to one fifth of a Lotto jackpot of

Is this too much to spend on the lotto?
The debt is on a car loan...which I will NEVER do again. $302/month.
Since the nature of the loan is a fixed term, you'll eventually pay it off in 5, 6 or 7 years, whatever the contract says. It's not as bad as people paint it. If you're committing 20 or 25 dollars a week, I would play the pick 3 or pick 4 lotteries since the odds for hitting a low-level prize ($ 50 or $ 100) are much better than the mega-jackpot games. The odds are at best 1 in 100. You're likely to get a hit

N.M. Gov. cancels 8-day-old lottery scratch game
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson has ordered the New Mexico Lottery to discontinue a just-released ground-breaking game that paired the lottery with Santa Ana Pueblo's Star Casino via a new scratch ticket. I am very concerned the new game sends the message that the state is promoting casino-style gambling, Richardson said Tuesday in a prepared statement. The LottoSino game, which began June 14, will die when the four-month contract for tickets ends.It was a first-of-its-kind scratch-off scratch
