Fresno man is $213 million California Powerball winner
The article mention that the winners are required to release their names, but they are not required to do a news conference. Does anyone know if this is only limited to doing an interview in front of a mdia, or if it also includes taking picutres of the winners. And if it applies to the rest of the states that is inluded in the lottery. This is something I always wanted to know since only a few states reuires you to remain anonymous.

Be sure to check your tickets, because the state won't make any effort to find you if you win
That is the problem it is a violation of privacy to have your picture plastered all over the news. It is certainly not the business of the state or the store to release that video. They can advertise that a ticket is about to expire but that is it. California was wrong in doing this. Way to go Indiana at least they protect our rights.

$400 million S.C. Powerball winner to stay anonymous
Missed your question. A few years ago a winner in Kentucky was outed after the lottery told him 'they' wouldn't release his name. However, a records request by media outed him shortly after he won.

Lottery winner sues advisors for poor policies
What I read Ogawa did not buy the ticket one of the friends did he bought 3 tickets and distributed one to each member. Also after he won he had the friends sign a purported release agreement. The agreement states there was an agreement to share the Lottery jackpot, but only provides that the friends will receive $1 million(which one of the friends claims he has not received).

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I always viewed scratchers as relatively harmless, but I can see how someone can get into real trouble with the $20 ticket. I have had my fun with buying 5 tix on release day but now plan on getting them sparingly. On a different note, I had a lot of fun playing the new $5 bingo.

Delay in information?
Does anyone have any knowledge of why it takes the Jackpot games (Powerball Mega Millions) nearly 2 hours to release results of the drawings whereas it only takes the Florida Lotto a matter of minutes to get it onto their official website? I would believe that it takes 1 single search of 5+1 balls into their computer system to find out if a winner exists? Do the computer systems really take 2 hours to find a winner with the bigger lotteries?

Post your scratch ticket results
I wonder why the new tickets aren't on the website yet. They usually promote them the weekend before they release. Odd. I will certainly try a few, but will not be going nuts on them.
