Can Lotto be cheated?
I think lotteries were cheated a lot in the past with counterfit tickets for relatively small amounts people could cash at the local retailer and vanish.Every so often you read about people altering tickets, but now the computer and scanners catch that stuff, only one payoff per serial number, all terminals online no local payoffs if the system is down.On the other hand, wonder if the lottery ever cheats players, say a ticket is not a winner when it is. We know they announce larger prizes then

Predict the MM jackpot and win *
well I can say this........i am shocked I thought for sure that it would roll a few more times at least. In my opinion, it seems like the higher jackpots are usually hit up north somewhere. When I woke up and saw that NY had it again I was P-O'ed. Oh well. . . . maybe the next one.I do agree that the game needs to be changed though. They estimated a 500 mill jackpot and we have yet to see it. Can't wait to see who got it this time. . .

Lottery RIGGING !!
yes, naturally, if this info and our questions are presented in mass presentation, i believe it would cause a heck of a lot of people to win. money everyday. because, states like texas tend to lose so much money it would cripple them to have to fold up.they would still not allow us to walk of with jackpots , but instead if 3 people hitting 5 of 6all of a sudden 300 people would hit 5 of six and pik 3 would suddenly draw triples once a week as probability would dictate.yes , we would all slo

Your own numbers OR quick pick?
Personally I think picking my own numbers is better, although I know theres many people who won jackpots with QP's. Maybe it's diferent in each state, cos I'm in NY I got some Lottery coupons by mail I noticed the coupons give you a free $1 QP play, after you spend $1... but note they do not give you the option of picking your own numbers... only QP... hmmmI rarely play QP. I only won on QP once. That was Lotto matching 3 numbers giving me $1.

Michigan Winfall
I also filled out the survey and told them to keep WinFall. They just need to find a way to get the jackpot rolling faster. It just takes too long in between the WinFalls. But if they had to get rid of it..(for the schools sake) I would probably play the other game too. But you guys aren't making very good points. Yes it is $2 a ticket. I would not buy the same amount of tickets I would of if they were only $1. I would buy $10 either way. So I would get 10 $1 tickets or 5 $2. I really c

skipping a drawing would you?
Quote: Originally posted by dvdiva on October 27, 2004been missing two monday drawings now with no after effects. Still have my chances with the wends and sat drawing for megabuck jackpot. now its at a record 23.6 million. more than enough to change my life for the better. and only a 6/48 game too.I understand your point. But i see it this way. Its not just the luck of matching all the numbers in a draw. Its also when you match them... and the draw you skip could very well have your name on it

winning ticket
enterceptorr,Your original question started by asking why certain classes of people win jackpots (in your opinion), and then you seem surprised and appalled when someone responds and gives you the answer (in their opinion). You should not post something as a question if all you want to do is to provide your own opinions, and you don't want to hear what other people say. Believe it or not, other people may have differing opinions from yours.I happen to think four4me is making a lot of sense. I

Some information about Powerball
I know I haven't benefitted from it. But it does confirm my first suspicions that there were several machines being used and that they were being rotated. I didn't know about the ball sets being rotated as well.I look at it like this: If people are being successful utilizing just one fifth of the total amount of the draws, then more information on how the machines randomly pull up the numbers can't hurt and should make for more successes. I think we will be seeing more winners on Powerball proba

Lottery jackpot magic strikes twice for Wisconsin family
Gerri Holat of St. Francis, Wisconsin, a Milwaukee suburb, has hit the Megabucks jackpot twice sort of.A dozen years after her father, John Smit of Franklin, won a $2.7 million Megabucks jackpot, her husband Dennis hit a $2.5 million jackpot.I always feel especially lucky whenever the jackpot gets around $2.5 million, and its because of Gerris dad, Dennis said. The Holats are regular Megabucks players, but Dennis didnt check his numbers for the Oct. 6 drawing until after the Oct. 13 drawing. His n

Claiming anonymously or signing your name
For those that end up claiming big jackpots through a trust so that they can stay anonymous, does that mean that they couldn't sign the back of their ticket with their own name? Or do you sign the name of the trust? It seems risky to leave the ticket unsigned while doing all the lawyer paperwork, but probably worth staying anonymous. Does anyone know how it works (i.e. can you sign your name but claim as a trust, or is there a way to secure your ticket while you're prepraing your trust)?
