$636 Million Mega Millions jackpot split by 2 tickets
When the matrix changed, the advertised jackpot was $55 million. That in itself skews the sales results. If you compare the closest amount from the record run ($51 million) and start from there, sales then are still greater than the recent run. Even the average sales increase per draw is greater (~38% vs. 24.6%) and the slope is less than half. Year Run Draws Total Sales Average Sales 2012 $51M - $640M 14 $1,394,213,421 $99,586,673 2013 $55M - $636M 17 $988,757,966 $58,162,233

Mega Millions odds 1:259 Million, almost half already used up..
They are talking about being very close to record breaking sales (650 million tickets) and simply divide that by 17,259,390. Hopefully you'll get 38 five number matches. If you didn't miss the memo saying there are now just 15 bonus numbers, divide 650 million by 15. That 43.3 million five number combos for every bonus number. Based on the sales figures, there should be at least two jackpot winners. The 12/13 sales were 167 million, divide it by 17,259,390, and let me know how close your answ

Poll: Does it make sense to play
Well, as always, I'm gonna be the 'stand alone' person here once again. It makes absolutely no sense to play a game that contains odds worse than you leaving your house/home/apartment and having a piece of 'space debris' fall out of the sky and kill you. Yeah, the odds are just that bad. Now, I know that I've previously posted on how it's bad to not play or skip draws if you have a sentimental set of numbers which you never change...ever, and I'm sticking to that only if that applies. For the QP

I told you I got you so you'll be the first to get my updates when I'm done back-testing as a thank you for introduing me to that site. I'm trying to figure out a way to use less combos to make more profit. I'm having to analyze the previous 1,000 drawings because you can see a bigger picture of the Hot/Medium/Cold cycles that digits, piars, sums, etc... go through.... the longest cycle I've seen so far was a hot number that lasted for over 350 drawings before it got cold. Analzing the temper

Pa. lawmaker wants to give lottery winners right to remain anonymous
Tax dollars aren't going towards funding any jackpots It isn't who the money came from, it's the fact that the government is spending money that has become public funds. The difference lottery payouts being part of the public record and tax refunds not being public records is that, the tax refunds were never public funds (as Jon D noted) and paying taxes isn't voluntary. you all seem to have no issues trusting that the number of $10,000, $25,000 or $100,000 or even $500 winners is accur

$257 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot expands
You've honed in on the correct issue: what is the frequency of jackpot wins with the new MM? That's really what's at stake when they come up with a new lotto game: based on the expected customer base, what the frequency of jackpot wins will be. Old MM did about $20M sales per draw average during non-frenzy periods. The new MM so far looks to be about the same, no major dropoff in sales with the new matrix. That comes to about $2 Billion per year, and you divide that by the odds on the JP a

NOPE not at all...as long as everyone's got everyone else's back in this game, they won't let go what should come up RANDOMLY. There are numbers - which by some posters figures - are out 3 and 4 times and RECORD times and by OUT I mean missing....the statistics for random CAN be calculated...and THESE CALCULATIONS DO NOT ADD UP. You know, it doesn't make you want to quit, it makes you want to get revenge...well, me anyway. If I'm not mistaken, OHIO KEEPS on getting that number....

I didn't answer her because I don't know . But you can get the same chart off of the TN thread. That is where he got it from. It doesn't matter what is on the chart. When other folks put stuff up here you need to ask them. When you get the chart, circle all of the non double numbers that have fallen in Ky this month and record their row number for example... Sat night's number was 698. ok go to row A5, circle that number and then write down A5. I use the bottom of the chart. last night's num
