One ticket wins $290 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot
Quote: Originally posted by LottoLin on July 03, 2004It seems like all the winning Mega Million tickets and even the Power Ball tickets are sold on the east coast. I was standing in line in IL to buy a ticket a guy told me not to bother, he said they have it rigged that the Power Ball and Mega Millions jackpots will have the Big Jackpot winning tickets sold in the eastern states. It sure seems that way in the last couple years. But I'm still playing both. If I don't play I can't have a chance to

Hey Brdman, good to hear from you. Can't help but play Mega tonight...I'm using my QP from Tues. draw tonight 'cuz I liked the combo. $1 only....just to be in the game. More than that is a waste of money in my opinion. I like 1000-1 odds a whole lot better than 130 million to one odds!Something weird, why are people standing in lines in other states? I've never had a problem getting a ticket for mega jackpots here in IL. Must be more terminals here. I read an article this a.m. talking abo

$290 MILLION:" Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased
Quote: Originally posted by grayfox on July 02, 2004WOW It's almost 4am and I can't sleep at all! The anxiety is overwhelming as I ponder how much of my remaining money to use for tickets. I have roughly $350 but do I go ahead and make the plunge and put all my remaining money and hopes into this chance of a lifetime, or do I go more conservative and purchase 100-150 tickets just in case it rolls over again.Dude, If you are having those kinds of thoughts and deliberations, maybe it's time you ma

$290 MILLION:" Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased
In the last drawing almost 60% of all the combos were bought. With they hype this huge jackpot is getting (which by the way makes the game more fun) I say 70-80% will be bought for this Friday's drawing. Slim chance that their will be a rollover. But just one more rollover means the highest lottery jackpot ever. Just one more. It took over two years to get even close to the $500 million that they once projected. Very unlikely it will happen again soon. SO JUST ONE MORE ROLLOVER...haha. E

Thanks to konane I have found an article based in science with the same theories I have put forth. Well............(read it for yourself.)It may make believers out of the lot of you.http://www.boundaryinstitute.org/articles/Anomalies_ _Constraints_JSE.pdfIt is a paper explaining how P.S.I. could conform to science based on known physics and possible theories. The only proof of these theories is repetitive accuracy. This can be done but there are too many people out there that would explain th

ohiopick3:I played 23 lines in OhioSuperLotto tonight and I don't play any combinations of 3's that have hit in the last 20 drawings or any combinations of 4's that have hit in the last 200 drawings and guess what? Tonight's drawing had 3 numbers from Wednesday's drawing and 4 numbers that hit March 17 twenty-nine drawings ago. I try to play with parameters that are true 75% of the time and tonight they all were wrong. I usually only play that many lines when the jackpots goes pass the normal

That is exactly what the numbers you quote represent. As you have now discover

$10 million versus $145 million

I've always felt that all lottery prizes should be tax free as they are in UK and also jackpot recipients should be given the option of remaining anonymous as they do in UK. The states and lotteries already have their profits from ticket sales and the prizes (including jackpots) should be awarded without any additional state or federal tax burden.
