Come on Ohio has been hitting Mega Millions, let Wisconsin have a chance at it. It's been a while since WI. has hit a JackPot on either one Never on Mega Millions and a long dry spell for Power Ball. We've had people from out of state come in and buy tickets and hit the JackPot, but it doesn't do the WI. people any good they take the winnings to another state. So Heres hoping someone from WI. knocks it off. I would prefer it be me, but a Wisconsinite will be OK. But Good Luck to All Players.

I thought I had heard it all, They double the price of a ticket, drop the odds down to the mega millions level and tell everyone what a good deal it is. If you buy 2 tickets for Mega millions your odds are only 1 in 87,855,786. Half that of the new PB game. RL

If I read the OP right then the Powerplay will be gone. If the ticket is $2 and the 5 + 0 prize is $1 million it will be a better bet than Mega Millions, kind of. 5 of 56 is still more likely than 5 of 59 but you have to go the other $1 for the Megaplier to turn the 5 + 0 into $1 million. Since competition is always good for the consumer, let's see what happens to Mega Millions.

MUSL trying to save $1 million on Mega Millions?
Usually the jackpot goes from $12 million to $16, $18, or $19 million. Last night's e-mail said it is now $15 million, I don't think I've ever seen it go from $12 to $15 million before. Maybe it's just not getting the play because the Powerball is $200 million.

I like being able to watch the draw on television. In the 90s the Texas night draw was shown on local stations in this area. I don't think the lottery ever paid for it, but just made it available. No local stations show it now, but it can be streamed live on the web site, and recorded draws can be streamed or downloaded. Mega Millions draws have long been shown on WGN, and now that Illinois plays Powerball, those draws are shown, too. I think it's not actually live, but about a minute delayed
