Friday jackpot 21 million IF NO WINNER
Mr Happy: The population of MUSL (Powerball) members is now significantly smaller than that of the Mega Millions states. When Pennsylvania joins Powerball late this month, they'll be a noticeable increase in rollovers above the 12m or 14m level. (Don't forget that the PowerPlay option for Powerball is a $2 wager without increasing the chance at the jackpot.)

Friday jackpot 21 million IF NO WINNER
Finally, a lottery that climbs like the California's SuperLottoPlus. Hopefully we will get a chance soon to compare jackpot increases between California's SuperLottoPlus, Powerball, and Megamillions. I still don't get why Powerball has such a slow rate of increase. And hopefully, Powerball and the several local state semi-large jackpots will all have winners tomorrow so we can see real sales growth in the Megamillions.

Todd, Another Reason MM Underpaid Us!!!
Todd, you told us that, the MM is paying double starting jackpot for 70% longer odd. So, it is fair enought!!!However, the 100% higher starting jackpot, is a 26 years annuity. Discounting the annuity, the MM, acutally make a 50% starting jackpot increase! In conclusion, the MM is riping us off!!!Gamma Ray

12-10=2 MIL
Hi ... Let me try to re-word a previous post I made.Okay here goes ..........How can each new MM jackpot start out at 10 MIL yet the very following jackpot increase by only 2 Mil?Do the states each throw in a Mil to get things going or how is that 10 Mil accounted for?If it's the players who are responsible for the 10 Mil ... why are they spending a fifth less on tickets for the following jackpot?RobHoping to get some questions answered

An interesting hypothetical question
Since the chances of one combination being picked in the Biggame is 1:76M, why would a person or a group of people play a combination more than once? To increase your odds of winnings, you must play more combinations not one combination more.RJOh

Biggame-why $12 mil?
Actually, many of those people who drove hours just to play in the BIGGAME played 'advance draws'too. Duh...why didn't I think of that before. I would never do the 1.5 hour drive one way just to play Powerball in one draw. Duh!! I hope most of those people played 5 to 10 weeks worth of draws. Now everything in the Universe makes sense to me. That would explain the bigger then expected increase in the jackpot.
