Why is it that I fully believed I would win?
weeks leading up to the record-breaking MM jackpot, I had the strongest belief I would win. I'm sure we all get this at times, but it was so powerful that i could feel it pulsing in my head. I just knew, I knew it was going to happen for me. I felt like I had a system and I desperately needed it. I was hoping God or whomever/whatever controls the universe would finally answer my prayers...I was getting all these signs that let me know my psychic (or so I thought) abilities were finally being hon

MD Lottery: winner has not come forward yet
Press Release Rumors may be swirling, but the lucky Maryland winner who shares in Friday evening's record-breaking $656 million Mega Millions jackpot has not yet come forward. Despite numerous rumors to the contrary, no one has come in to claim the prize, said Maryland Lottery Director Stephen Martino. We will announce when we have a confirmed winner. The Lottery urges the ticket holder, who has 182 days from the drawing date to claim, to sign the back of his/her ticket, keep it in a

Is there any real way to play these scratch offs? New Roll or what?
$20 tickets are your best bet. I have consistently won the most from them. As far as buying whole rolls, I would not do it too often. I have never gotten more than $240 back from a $300 roll, and the least was $120. I also got $135 and $180. I have won $75 and $150 on single $5 tickets, numerous $100 winners on $20 tickets, as well as $250, $300 twice, and the biggest so far was $500. Those were all single ticket purchases. As a new lottery player, look around on this site. There is much helpful

$540 MILLION: Mega Millions buying frenzy sparks another jackpot increase
OK. I have one for the masses here. This is one I have never run into before. I am a... for lack of a better phrase - contract employee. I work for myself but with several different companies. One of the companies who owes me ALOT of back pay (I invoice per project), today as I was dropping off my last invoice (no more work until I get paid - they are 120 days out already)... gave me an envelope and the district manager gave me a wink and a nod saying that he would see me on Monday as he was

$500 MILLION: Mega Millions sets all-time lottery jackpot record
See I never understood how people can think they can win the lottery and stay anonymous. You say you dont want to be known as a lottery winner to any any business you patronize? Well the bank knows how much you have and will treat you like a high priced client. Oh and you will have to get all the tellers to sign confidential statements they all live in the community. Useing cash for everything might be hard because when your credit card company ups you to the exclusive black card

60M$ - would you prefer a 1/10 MM Friday win or the SOLE PB Saturday win?
Which would you prefer? Being 1 of 10 winners (Friday MM 600M j/p split 10 ways) or being the ONLY winner (Saturday PB 60M j/p not split)? Doing the math, either way the winner's share is $60 million so basically you're asking if we prefer to get 5 chances playing PB for $10 or 10 chances playing MM. Considering the fact most players in either game will be lucky if they cash for $2 to $4, it doesn't really matter how 11 lucky players out of millions win the same $60 million. The majority

This Big MEGA
This Current MEGA is HUGE (and all the articles say it is a record). I am assuming everyone here will be playing. My question is how will you be playing? A lot of quick picks? Your own special Numbers? A combination of both methods? My one method of play is usually ten dollars of quick picks and when over 100 million another ten with mainly cold numbers . One thing I have noticed with quick picks (at least in my case) -- I either have most (if not all the numbers) -- just never on t

$241 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery frenzy ramps up
ooOOoo I can try to sound intelligent! ready? ok! Taxes now vs. taxes then. It's not really a question of that, as much as a question of whether you believe that you will make better long term investment choices than the return you would receive via: the annuity. Example: you are an impulsive person and believe sincerely that glass slippers are about to make a HUGE comeback... and invest ALL your money in this SURE THING. recommendation? take the annuity. However, should be on a more earth-b

Mega Millions winner forced to split jackpot with co-workers
So lottery-pool man wins, regrets playing (only since he won as he most assuridly would have loved being in a pool had one of his other co-'s won), hides win, scams job with false declaration of needed and upcoming surgery, disappears for a semi-short period of time, returns claiming lottery win and IS SURPRISED that one of his co's would have checked dates to see when his win was. So... he either figures that his co's are as stupid as he would have been, or that they are as stupid as he WISH
