Powerball is coming to Georgia
I'm up watching the news due to the crazy weather. Saw a commercial stating that Powerball is coming to Georgia. First draw is January 22nd. Georgia will have both games. Mega Millions and Powerball. Which I think will be cool. Now folks won't have to cross state lines to play when the jackpots grow in size. It's my understanding South Carolina will be getting Mega Millions. I never paid attention to powerball much before, but will begin to do so.

NC Education Lottery Commission Votes to Add Mega Millions RALEIGH Today, the North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) Commission unanimously voted to add another national lottery game for North Carolina players. The NCEL is working toward launching Mega Millions sales on Jan. 31, 2010, along with several other U.S. lotteries.

Every single game has its critics. There are people who think Pick 3 and Pick 4 are bad, that Pick 5 is bad, that Pick 6 is bad, and yes, that Mega Millions and Powerball are bad. But that's OK, and that's the reason there are so many game options to choose from. The only reason they added Mega Millions, and the only way they will add Powerball, is if it has a positive impact on sales. Why would they add a game that loses money? So obviously a lot of people must like it.
