Does anyone play their state lotteries any more?
Now that MM has reset to $12M and PB is $2 a ticket, state lotteries with smaller jackpots and much better odds of winning may be worth looking at until the MM and PB jackpots build up to more attractive amounts. I know for the next week or so, I'll be looking at Ohio's Classic Lotto. Its jackpot is only $6.8M but the odds of winning it are 1:14M.

Powerball-Mega Millions Merger!
Sooner or later Powerball-Mega Millions will merge creating a National Lottery. With jackpots starting around $100 million and jumping by 1oo million per draw. we will then see $500 million jackpots common. What do you think.

Was there any super huge jackpot in So Cal area?
AFAIK there wasn't any jackpot more than $200 mil in So Cal area. A few deca-million jackpots, but that's it. Most mega jackpots come from east or mid-west.

When Mega Millions Goes To $2/Ticket
I proally wouldnt play as much until there were larger jackpots... Powerball jackpots arent at all what I had hoped for, yeg more of what I expected unfortunately... I would only buy two maybe 3 tickets a week for each and just play hoosier lottery

MM and PB jackpots
Right now, Mega Millions holds the current United States jackpot record at $390 million shared by two winning tickets. However, Powerball has the single winning ticket record at $365 million. That's why with the Powerball Jackpot starting at $40 million, I would vote for Powerball to hit a new record. What do you think about my comment? Players can post and vote on this topic.

Lottery jackpots may get bigger
Well, its not just the fact that PB starts at a higher amount ($40m versus $12m) but it flips by a minimum of $10m. That should build the momentum among players more rapidly resulting in larger jackpots. I think we will have to see how it pans out over the next few jackpots as our specuculation to date is all anecdotal!

Lottery jackpots may get bigger
Remember not that far back when Powerball jacked up their odds to 1 in nearly 200M and how that was supposed to bring those record jackpots, those 500M jackpots... What happened to that? Oh right.

$310 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot in rare territory
Funny thing is if you look at the high PB jackpots vs. the high MM jackpots the MM ones seem to be hit by multiple winners and the PB ones tend to be solo winners.

Powerball at $2.00 - What jackpot level do you start playing?
thrifty I tend to play when the jackpots are lower-(yes, it's hard to hit powerball, but my reasoning is that its even tougher when you get all the people who don't normally play, playing the bigger jackpots)

Powerball multi-state lottery to raise prices, jackpots
This was the same BS reason Powerball gave last time they rigged the game more in their favor and against the players. The hoopla to adding more states and increasing the odds for Powerball was that more people would be in the game and the jackpots would get up to $200Million+ more often....possibly even $500 Million. Now it seems that the jackpots don't reach $200 Million LESS OFTEN..So people are buying less tickets now they want people to pay more for the tickets. I think I've reached my limi
