Do some number combinations have better odds?
RJOh,
You missed the point, completely! Of course there are no Lotto games of this size. The idea here is to allow people to apply their System ideas to a scaled down Lotto game that allows them to test hypotheses, in many cases, by inspection, or with a few simple calculations. For example, think about the ongoing discussion in this thread about selecting subsets of 28 numbers to wheel. I gave you/them a start to further check that out.
Don't you get it?
Take another look.

Mathematics and the Lottery
Hi Rjoh,
A very diplomatic response. *L*
I would agree, there are no absolutes in predicting winning lottery numbers for the next draw.
However, there are some methods that yield a higher percentage of wins than others.
I just happen to think that current mathematical formulations, describing the random numbers processes, are inadequate.
There are new axioms, theorems, and formulas just waiting to be discovered. After watching so many LP members running up against the same wa

Quick Picks verus Self Picks
I agree with you RJOh that all self picks are not created equal. I think that picking birthdays/anniversaries/ages and so forth are little better than QP's. The best way to improve your odds is to study the game and look for patterns. For example I'm currently playing Hot Lotto which is a 5/39 (19) game with a current JP of 7M. Looking at the number patterns like I have been all year there are identifiable tendencies that can be taken advantage of. A few things about the game I have learned:

Powerball coming to California
I was thinking maybe something like that, RJOh, more than one bonus number.
5 + 1 + 1 = Jackpot
5 + 1 + 0 = a smaller % of JP, or something similar.
If it does change at all, it will be to the advantage of the lottery, not the player.
bobby623,
Despite what the head of the Texas lottery said, but I'll believe it when I see it. When California joined Mega Millions, the matrix changed. I'm with Guru101 on this.

GH Lottery Theory
And your right RJoh, i DONT really want to learn VBA. I DONT really care about it. I DONT really need it. If the opportunity comes up fine, but Lotto is a game of finesse, and excessive calculations just aint gonna cut it.
You see we do agree on something, if you wanted to know VBA you would take a course or read a book about it.
Your problem is you can't believe others feel the same way about LottoFlagFormation and some of the other stuff you mention.
As for me learning GWBasic, unti
