Privatization of Texas lottery may get 2nd look in 2009
I think that it is crazy!
They can make more money for sure, but not as much as they think that they can.
The 2 big problems might be the state government and the lottery itself.
In order to make more money they would have to be free of all and any restrictions, that is being able to handle the lottery on their own, without the state government and the lottery getting in their way.
But even is that was possible which would not, they still would not be able to make as much as they thi

Can you SMELL that PA STENCH?
Did you all notice that although the new 5/43 game in PA starts at $125,000, it does NOT INCREASE by the same amount (like the 5/39 game did) when the jackpot is not won! Nope, it just increases by $100,000.
And here I consider that FRAUD! 100% legal fraud!
The 5/39 game increased by $100,000 each night. And the new rules clearly state new jackpots start at $125k. Well, why won't they keep their WORD and be HONEST and double the unwon jackpot by the same $125k amount?
I'll tell you why

New pyramidal reduction method for Pick 5 and Pick 6 games – looking for opinions
Please excuse my English; I m not a native speaker
In case anyone happens to answer (which is true) what can be achieved with 5 bets.
Many people focus on small sets of combinations, like 5 bets guaranteeing 5-number matches. While that works on a tiny scale, the coverage quickly decreases with larger sets.
My system uses a pyramidal reduction approach, which allows me to maintain 100% coverage for 5-number matches even with larger combinations.
For example, a 7-bet set can cover

What matters is their profit margin.
It really does seem like a lot of people just can't figure that out.
After millions of people threw away $5 on the new game format, I wonder how many of them will come back for more punishment
Most of them, I'd imagine. They're only doing it $2 at a time, but about twice as many people keep on doing it with PB tickets.
Hopefully the folks at PB are reading this and will not follow suit and destroy their game as well.
Maybe the folks at

Twenty years. Same numbers. Winning next to nothing.
I am astounded that you played the same numbers for twenty years. I am impressed by your persistence and patience. I am actually curious. Did you play the same numbers for Powerball, Mega Millions, and the other lotteries in your state? I would think that those numbers would eventually at least come close to win a smaller prize in one of those games over that length of time.
I used to get excited when jackpots where high. No
