Post picks before the drawing to help others. Posting how you hit or missed after the drawing does not benefit anyone else in the forum. Also the decent thing to do to show appreciation to people like LottoBux who spends so much time providing us all with great data.

How soon till the next $ Billion $ Jackpot?
The current run is still well ahead of last month's record run. The next drawing will be the 12th of the current run, and the advertised jackpot of $236 million is based on a cash value of $156.3 million. That's not quite $2 million less than the $158 million cash value of the last run's 15th drawing, which was advertised as a $255 million annuity value. If this run had grown at the same pace as the last one we wouldn't be seeing that $156.3 million cash jackpot until the drawing on 3/5.

Why are ticket sales stopped an hour or two before each draw?
They don't need the cutoff time to do that. Have you ever tried to buy a Pick 4 or Pick 3 ticket for a specific number hours before the drawing and been told it's sold out? They know way before the drawing what numbers have been played and how many of each.

Why are ticket sales stopped an hour or two before each draw?
I think you said it...long lines at the checkout. I think the cutoff ensures that people won't wait until the last minute to get their tickets...like five minutes before the drawing kind of last minute. I can only imagine the headache that could be created by making the cutoff that close to a drawing.

Virginia - Does weather ever affect a drawing?
I looked on their site but I don't see anything addressing weather. Do drawings happen even in severe weather? Someone asked me and I had no idea.

Don't You Find It Interesting?
Not particularly surprising, no. On the next-to-last drawing, even with all those tickets sold, there was about a 1-in-5 chance of no winner. Not likely, but still quite possible. On the final drawing, a two-way split was the most likely outcome, and what actually happened was the second most likely.

I wonder if there are people stupid enough ...
There are plenty of stupid people with all sorts of reasons for playing or not playing some particular combination(s).
I can be incredibly safe in claiming that whatever combination you play for any particular drawing won't be drawn. The basis for that claim has absolutely nothing to do with the numbers you play. It has absolutely nothing to do with the numbers that were drawn in the previous drawing or any other drawing. It's strictly becau

Dee- pay no attention to this contentious, smarmy, clown. never posts anything worthwhile. even purposely posted the wrong midday number before the drawing on a holiday delayed drawing (Christmas day, I believe). good luck to you.
