$1.8 billion Powerball jackpot to be split by two tickets sold in Missouri and Texas
l won only $8 on Powerball 17 . But am not too worried l believe Mega Millions is the only Voyage that once the frenzy starts can grow to $4,500,000,000 . This is what makes Mega millions Dangerous it may look slow at moment but once it picks up speed at $1,000,000,000 it will grow twice as fast as powerball and people will be Shocked by the Speed zoom To Buy fifty percent of Powerball possibilities cost $300,000,000 but to buy fifty percent of mega millions possibilities will cost $750,

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Hooray for you! I like reading the writings of a wise person! I haven't touched MM since the price hike either. But, I will buy a *very* few tickets when/if MM reaches some breathtaking cash value. Why? Because you do have to be in the game to win the game, no other reason. Till then I am taking the funds that I would have spent on MM ($5 tickets) and dedicating them to PB. I think of that as a sort of punishment for MM and a bonus for PB because of what MM did with the price hike and fo

I do chuckle at the MM statement they put in their news release on 3/25/25: The game will feature bigger prizes at every non-jackpot prize tier, better odds to win the jackpot, better odds overall, larger starting jackpots, and faster-growing jackpots. Starting at $50 Million didn't seem to energize much needed sales to support that claim. Let's see if the sticker shock of 150% increase wears off after a year or as one poster put it, they have a few runs that go for 30 drawings or more .

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The Mega Millions jackpot is growing slower than last time because it is being over shadowed by the much larger Powerball jackpot. And/or more of the people who aren't addicted are sitting it out for more general reasons about MM itself. The sales forecast for Friday are up about 5% over the previous Friday, so maybe we'll see another modest increase for Friday 8/1, too. Based on the last couple of increases we'll almost certainly see it advertised as 130 next Tuesday (funded at about 1

It's almost as if probability only suggests what's likely and not what will actually happen, isn't it? I think when they sold us Faster growing jackpots they forgot to factor in what could actually happen i.e the jackpot being won sooner. But again, everything is still in its infancy, so we can afford to give them the benefit of doubt. Looking forward to a $3.5 billion jackpot. I would take the annuity if I win that

It appears the $5.00 price hike has had an effect on the Cash growth. We got some data on the Annuity and Cash values. In our analysis, we strip out the inflationary starting jackpot and base line the cash growth by starting at $1,000,000.00 for all jackpot runs to give a relative cash jackpot run. Below shows the current $5.00 price hike as compared to the previous $2.00 price beginning back in 2018. Some data was not included due to crossing over two different price and matrix

What we find interesting is the Jackpot is only increasing at $10 Million each draw. In past, it would be more than that and getting bigger increases as the Jackpot grew. We're not seeing that. In My Opinion, this might not reflect the actual increases that are needed to support the Jackpot annuity, meaning, the actual cash value to support such a Jackpot might not be entirely all there... just saying that is. https://www.lotterypost.com/results/mn/megamillions/jackpot

First drawing of new Mega Millions game produces 5X more winnings compared to older version
3) A new world record jackpot amount will be well over $2 billion and maybe $3 billion. The prior record was in 2023 @ $1.602 billion. That's what the lottery claims, but the actual record is the $877.8 million cash jackpot that could have funded an imaginary annuity of $1.537 billion in 2018. I think #3 is the main reason for the change. I'm sure they'd like to have bragging rights, but the states get the money regardless of which game holds whatever record(s) they might claim. Wh

I need the experts to help me here.
Thank you for your perspective. As the current jackpots stand, I would not even spend the 500K a year from the annuity. Spending 20K a month is so much for me to fathom. I know there are people that can spend 100K a month on consumer goods and I respect that. After all it's about choices and personal preferences.
