What VALIDATE TICKET means?
Very informative thread. Now, I'll be aware more than ever, in the event I claim something. Thanks all.

I predict Powerball will roll
I think that will be more of an influence after the 200 mark. There would have to be sufficent motive for most people to travel to another state to get tickets. Megamilions may not even need outside state sales if it breaks 300 since it's such a rare event and Mega has a larger pool of potential players.

Powerplay 10X
The odds are 1:16 for EVERY draw this month and, if necessary, ALL future draws until it hits. There is NO handicapping this event just like there is NO truth to the fantasy of tracking anything that STARTS from a LEVEL playing field with each and every occurrence.

Who jumps border to buy Lotto tickets?
oh...well ok. As of now, I'm taking annual payments. But who knows what will happen in the event of me winning a jackpot.

In the event you hit the jackpot ...
Good idea. I'll disappear for a while myself. Don't get me wrong. It's not that I don't wanna share my bounty, it's just that I want to be generous at my own time and pace. In fact, in the event I win, 35% will go to a charitable foundation that I will create, not in my name, of course. My first project will be a learning center for gifted children... But first, I must buy that winning ticket...

Would u try to remain anonymous?
Only problem with avoiding the media, and acting negatively towards them, you create an even more memorable event. It is the nice ones people forget, not the violent, and obnoxious ones. Some maybe even target you for being such an idiot.

Is ist legal to play powerball online??
Just read the rules and be wary of them so that you don't get hosed in the event of a jackpot win. I know that betslips allows you to play, but they own 1% of the ticket, which isn't all that bad, if you ask me.

1927- Coretta Scott King b-day Year
What the hell do you mean by that JANET? I am in the community and the event and the numbers are strange how they coincide. Who the hell are you to assume what you do? I don't get your degrading comments sometimes....the almighty Janet, I guess. I'm VERY in tune with my area, and don't understand your writings. It was just a simple comment by me. Geez!

State Tax on Lottery Win
If you're going to bet on the lottery, or any other ganbling event, you should start planning/researching your strategy now - not after you win. (If you don't plan on winning, why play?) It may be too late if you wait. Most people plan on how to get to work every day, but never give a second thought about a multi-million dollar increase in their lifestyle - even though they spend money to win.

Washington jackpot #9 in world
Must mean that the other jackpots are really low if Washington made it in the top ten. I won't bother getting tickets since they switched to computer drawings. The Seahawks making it to the superbowl seems as likely an event as winning it though.
