If they want to boost their sales is advertisement not enough? I also believe that whenever they announce the name of the winner they become a good target of bad guys out there. If they still wan to release the name can they guarantee the safety of the winner?

Agreed completely with you! I find it can be hard to win right after release even - depends on the ticket. Extreme Green seems to give $15 more than $20. That is cheap.

it's not like they only have 10 million to throw around. they have 130 million. they could rebuild that entire town if they so desired. get a tax credit in a town of 400 people. i don't think it matters one iota. they need to loosen up the grip on this money somehow somewhere. i know they don't have to if they don't want to but they should release the valve that holds the cash.

I've been wondering how beneficial it would be to change your name in the places that force you to do a photo op. I guess if you can disguise yourself decently enough so that the picture they release doesn't look like how you normally look. Dye your hair or wear a different colored wig with different length of hair, wear glasses (if you do wear glasses, make them vastly different but nothing strange), make sure your clothes are bulky to help hide your true weight and maybe try to alter your s
