I am going to resorts casino Friday here in NYC . Today my hubby turned 62 , he originally was going to retire but his agency didn't want him to leave after 42 years that they made a position for him under the executive director . I guess it's a good thing since we still have two girls in college and he graduated deans list with his BA and just got accepted to the masters program :) I can't wait for bingo tomorrow

Can winning the lottery truly buy ultimate happiness?
Winning a jackpot or a large sum of money may not buy me true happiness but it would sure pay off all of our debt and allow me to give the money to the school I have worked at for years, which the state has been failing to do. I seriously cannot rely on being able to retire as a teacher or if I will even be retained the next year due to continuous budget cuts. They are cutting budgets for the remainder of the school year we are in right now. I have more hope in the lottery than the system that p

The odds are you won't hit a major jackpot. So...

Holy (SNIP) you won the Powerball... Champagne wishes and caviar dreams...
A private jet card (I don't want to own the jet). A house with enough bedrooms and bathrooms so my whole family can come and visit at the same time without anyone having to share. A swimming pool the dog and I could use year round. But most of all I want my husband to be able to retire and stay home with me all day!

Powerball 12-26-15
Oh that would be nice! My dream is to retire to AZ, or at least somewhere much warmer than Illinois. I think I'd be fine with the summer heat if in retirement mode, but not so much if I had to commute and generally keep a working person's schedule. I think Sedona would suit me, but real estate is expensive compared to Tucson or Scottsdale.

My thoughts on the lottery
If you want to live a happy life, CUT YOUR COAT ACCORDING TO YOUR SIZE !!!. Life is full of compromises. If you like to play the lottery that much but can't afford to, then get a second job, cut down on the smokes, booze and food. Trying to win the lottery so you can retire, when you haven't even saved enough money to play the lottery, sounds like a losing proposition. Maybe this is your way of communicating to us that you have a gambling problem. GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND TRY TO HAVE SOME MONEY IN Y

Would you be satisfied with a jackpot win in MM or PB at the starting level?
the starting MM jackpot would not be enough to retire - but it would be more than enough to make life exceptionally comfortable. so - yes I would be more than content with a starting jackpot from either MM or PB

Player in Tennessee wins first Powerball jackpot since game changed in Oct.
Maybe to you, but I can retire just fine on $24.9 million. Even after taxes. And it would be perfect now because the attention is on finding out who won Wednesday. No one cares about someone winning $24 million.
