Taking a Break from the Lottery
I believe the MAJORITY of people who play the lottery would classify themselves as lottery losers or in a loonnnnggg non-winning slump. I always note those winners who care to share how they won who say they either didn't play regularly and decided to just buy a ticket (usually a QP) while at the C-store or those who say that had just decided to replay an own pick combo again and it hit that draw. The conclusion I draw from this is you just never know when you might have purchased the winni

Off topic: Please do NOT pump gas on May 15th!!
I agree with you on all counts. The oil companies are literally the biggest, richest companies in the world. Think of the power they wield. They can do anything they want, because they have the resources to do it.
I absolutely believe they have purposely held back on technologies that would provide cheap energy. Not just cars -- homes and businesses too.
I think they're stumped on how to make a lot of money off of renewable energy sources.
Therefore, I don't think they will ever dri

Lotto tickets lead cops to murder suspect
Lottery tickets left at the scene of a double slaying at a Southwest Side grocery store in 2005 have led Chicago police to the suspected killer, police said today.
Timothy Fountain, 36, of the 12700 block of South Morgan Street, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the course of a felony in the Aug. 4, 2005, slayings of Graciela Rodriguez, 38, and Nicholas Guerrero, 74, police spokesman Pat Camden said.
Police believe Fountain shot the two during a hold-up inside Magg

What do you think of the new forum pages?
I just finished re-programming all the Forum pages (the pages that show all the topics in the various forums).
You will notice that the forums are updated to the same look and functionality of all the other new pages that I re-programmed using ASP.NET 2.0 technology.
New features include updated look feel, new-style paging controls, paging controls at the top of the page, the ability to quickly change forums, ratings displayed for any topic that was rated by at least one person, and ne

Steve Player Systems
I bought SP Pick 3 Money Map System several years ago after I read the tantelizing ad for it in the Player Action Monthly Newletter. I was seriously disappointed with it. First of all, everything contained in the system were facts that I already knew from doing my own analysis and research into the game. Second, what I received in the mail in comparison to the price I paid was a total rip off.
The one thing that I can give Steve Player or Opcom Inc. credit for is their ingenoius marketing

N.C. Powerball lottery winner had to disconnect phone
You know, I often wonder the same thing myself. It's not like they're reinventing the wheel each time. Why not just start out with a slate of baseline games?
The people they hire to run the games are industry veterans, the contract vendors have been performing the same lotto services for years, and the technology is basically the same for every state. Once the lottery machine is installed in retailer locations, it's just as easy to sell four or five games as it is to sell one game.

Hd-Dvd
If you've ever seen a real HDTV broadcast, it's even better than that - I have HDTV and I think the picture is awesome. When will the technology be such that it's better than being there in person? LOL!
What I meant by marking the DVD was for the video quality - but I see your response and surmise that it wouldn't work.
As for sound - Magnapan's and a Valedyne 10 sub and a 1,000 watt amp...tis all I need. Everyone goes to bed at 10pm, so it never goes beyond 10 on the volume level...wh

N.C. Lottery lagging behind revenue estimates
Yeah, I was funding the elementary school careers of several kids over the course of the last 3 draws or so, but I'm taking a break. Not winning much does have a stifling effect on one's enthusiasm for playing. All things in moderation.
The lottery critics need to back off. $79 million dollars a month isn't chicken scratch. As for running education on a constantly fluctuating budget, state-run colleges have been operating that way for a very long time. I know of one college here in NC w

I think they will go after the big fish first and eventually places like Bodog and such may find themselves treading water.
I dont think smaller sites like Betslips are as well known. Look at how long it took before Napster was shutdown but then a host of other sites spawned from it and only the big ones like Kazaa was targeted while others such as limewire were ov
