If you were part of a lottery Pool that won..
No you wrong. You are still part of the pool but because you did not play this one time you cannot say you have no ties whatsoever to the pool. To this particular win, yes. But you did not quit playing with the pool altogether.
You know this.

What do you say to people, who don't play the lottery, but want you to cut them a check if you win.
I know two people, one always tells us, whenever we are having a pool, If I ever win the lottery, I'll make sure I retire all you guys . The other one always says, I'll give each one of you $1M if I ever win the jackpot . But they never join the pool. One day, I pulled them aside, and asked them why they never join the pool. The first one said, My wife will kill me, if she finds out that I spent any money on the lottery . The second one said, Oooh, my pastor will be PI$$ED OFF, if he ever finds

Salon lottery winners settle dispute
I play in my job place work pool as well as on my own. I know we are headed for a big struggle if we ever win big. We don't have a contract. Sometimes we buy tickets to cover the players who are absent. Some times some players skip playing. We only make copies of the pool tickets and get a list of participants. The good thing is that the pool only happens when the JP is really high. When it is over + $300M

$300 MILLION: Powerball jackpot raised on huge sales
Same here, since I run the office pool. Our pool has 4 lines for this jackpot and hope one is the winner, or at least wins something. On almost every 2 week round of our pool, playing Powerball, MegaMillions, and Louisiana Lotto, we always seem to win a lower tier prize, so I have hope we will hit the big one sooner or later.
I also have my own tickets just to hedge my bets.

What are the chances that a person be at the right place at the right time to win a jackpot?
I don't mind sharing, but I'm not going to pay extra to do so unless it actually gives the pool extra chances. Chances are the extra few bucks for checking that option would go to whichever lottery coporation managed the game you were playing. You'd just be giving them more money.
Think about a pool of 100 people who each paid an extra $2 for their ticket to get them in the official pool. That would give something like Powerball $4 per ticket.

Why so few lottery pool winners these days - is there not strength in numbers?
I can't for the life of me recall the last lottery pool winners of either MM or PB.Perhaps going or staying solo is the right course of action in these uncertain times. Your thoughts?

My idea of minimizing lottery fraud
What if the tickets belong to a pool ?
will they need a pool ID card ? ...now wait a minute that might work for a pool.....but I'd still want to be able to opt out.

why did more people win in the 1990's than today? Lotto.
If you check the history of the size of the number pool over the years you may find an increase in the amount of numbers in the drawing pool.
More numbers in a pool increases the odds of winning.

Are you more comfortable playing the lotto as an individual or joining a pool?
Not so sure even that is fool proof, Ronnie.
There have been cases where a former pool member dropped ut of the pool, the pool hit a jackpot, the former member demanded a share, and the payoff got delayed or frozen, and some even got a share if I remember right.
