One million dollars in a time of need for New Jersey couple
This is truly good news! Such a deserving couple, but I'm concerned about all the vultures that will come after them. Is there no way to remain anonymous? If you think you're getting unwanted calls and propositions before this, imagine how many people have the gall to ring their doorbell with a plea or pitch? I'd have to move, get a more secure security system, and change my phone number!

Man sues California Lottery for not honoring winning $5M Scratcher ticket
Noise-gate that was way too funny. Probably true though, they do their security checks, rules are rules and let this loser sue and lose.

$435 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot on track to 17-month high
No. David Lee Edwards home was in Ballenisle country club and homes in there start under a million. It's a very old club compared to the two I previously mentioned plus the security is not as tight even though it's guard gated they don't pack a side arm.

This is not my thread for me to take over and I sure don't like to argue too much, but: I am not so much a developer of anything as I do am an end user. It seems to me that like myself, most people are end users and not developers, I do after all was talking about most people. The software programs that I have can do just fine with from 1 to 2 Gigas of ram memory, even if I had a 64 bit machine and operating system and I don't, it would be a waste of memory having more than 3 Gigas of r

lf you won $1million could you see yourself retiring?
Would that be $1 million cash? Or an annuity? If cash, that's about $550,000 after taxes. A 20 year annuity would be $50,000 per year. Since I'm 61 and less than a year away from Social Security, I could retire on either one.

Thanks, yeah I reported it this morning to the security team. He was astounded that I knew the term microscratching lol. He probed me a bit about how or where I had heard or know about that term.

Remaining anonymous
Unfortunately, no. I've heard that some states do it but my state, Calif, does not. It takes 60 days to get the check and you have to pick it up. What they do offer is a security guard to accompany you from the lottery office to your bank. Weird.

Well Adam, there is an old Steve Miller Band song named, Take the money and run . You have hit a bigger jackpot on here than any of us likely will. Be sure to enjoy it and the financial security it will provide. If you do open up shop, let us know. I can stop by and buy tickets. :)
