50 players win Massachusetts Lottery jackpot
What sucks is that they paid only $48,000 instead of $100,000 for the jackpot.
The possibility of winning less than the usual amount is why a lot of people say not to play combinations that are likely to be played by a lot of other people, but All 50 of them won $47,750 more than anyone else who bought a ticket. Obviously you'd play the winning numbers if you knew what they were going to be, but since we don't know what the numbers will be the sensible strategy is to play a set of numbers t

Two Michigan scratch-off winners from the same county win big
Bleudog101, Older winners may not have the time left to enjoy all of the annuity. If a winner dies too soon after winning then there is the tax burden placed on the beneficiaries.
Taxes may increase in the future.
We do not hear about past winners investing the lump sum. There is Brad Duke who has done that. The media wants a, If it bleeds it leads story. Michael Carrol in the UK is well known for all the media attention he generated. Michael was 19 years old and blew through ten mill

Mega Millions to adjust starting jackpot amount, eliminate minimum increases
Ok,.. So it's obvious again, that you don't SEE the difference in $40 Million, vs $20 Million resetjackpots..
Friday's advertised MM jackpot was $121 million and with only 8.35 million tickets sold there was only a 2.7% of somebody winning the jackpot. And if they did, considering what the World is now going through, it's plain stupid to get a 29 year annuity.
We know that the increases has always reflected ticket sales from draw to draw..!!
Because the with the exceptions of the s

Pa. Lottery blames growth of skill games, lack of big jackpots for drop in profits
I'm not a huge gambler, but I'll play if the draw games get big or if I have a few extra dollars, I'll buy scratch-offs. I've never touched Keno, Xpress Sports, etc. For me, skill games are something I have no idea about where/how to play. I would say I'm probably on the typical spectrum for a casual player. My lottery activity has dropped off over the years, because of some decisions that PA has made that affect the lottery:
1. State and Local taxes - enacting this, (particularly on annui

Rework the Lower Tier Prizes for MM & PB.
If the lottery were to increase lower prize levels appreciably, they'd only do it by taking away from the other prize levels, mainly the jackpot and 5+0. Then it would roll over to the magic $500M even slower.
If they were to make any change to the payouts, I'd wager they would eliminate the 0+1 and 1+1 prizes from the $2 play to feed the jackpot so it would grow faster. (They might keep 0+1 and 1+1 for the $3 play as an incentive as some other lotteries do). Last drawing there were 971,375 p

Holy Moly! Pb Certainly Wastes No Time In Climbing Back Up.
Well, this has been one of the most anticlimactic runs we've seen.
Never even broke $400 Million Annuity.
And, it took an unamazing 24 rollovers to do it.
Well, back to the waiting.
Good Luck

Holy Moly! Pb Certainly Wastes No Time In Climbing Back Up.
Actually, PB's climb is anemic at best.
In 2015-2016, PB achived a Billion Dollar Jackpot in only 19 rollovers.
This what now? The 23rd rollover and only $373,000,000 Annuity or $253,700,000 Cash.
At $2.00 a line or $3.00 if you do power play (which, by the way, does absolutely nothing to improve your odds of winning anything)
the jackpot should be in the Multi-Billions by now.

Billion-dollar jackpot for Mega Millions?
I am hoping that MM reaches $1.7 billion jackpot this time around. But I will not be disappointed when I win tonight, 11/26/2019. I certainly could use $97,209,000.00. After all taxes are paid by April 15, 2020.
We need a LP member or Staff to win!
I have noticed that a lot of pools are being created for this MM jackpot. Annuity = $226 million.
If it rolls over tonight it will probably be by a very large amount. That will lead to the billion dollar level.
