I am not a winner
I got zero...zilch...zippo...nada...bupkus...doughnuts...marbles...air biscuits! I got Squat!
And to add insult to injury all day long I stood at the counter of the shop I work in and sold ticket after ticket to, clueless. glassy eyed, millionaire wannabes...most of whom have never played before and had to ask me how to play!
The only thing that's going to make this whole thing worse is if someone does win, for the next several days we'll be inunadated with stories of first time players

Remaining Anonymous for Winners?
OK, this is from the Powerball website, the FAQ's page:
CAN I REMAIN ANONYMOUS WHEN I HIT THE JACKPOT?
All but three states (DE, KS, ND) have laws that require the lottery to release the name and city of residence to anyone who asks. One state (SC) will keep your name secret if you request it, but if someone files a Freedom of Information Act request, you may have to file a plea with the judge to deny it.
Photos and press conferences are always up to you. Most of the time, i

Why should the government not tax lottery winnings? Because in my opinion that is double taxation. Even though I dont have a problem paying my fair share of taxes to Uncle Sam (he really needs

Is the Lottery (PB/MM) corrupt?
I don trust any lottery games in any part of this world. I started tracking lottery games in 1978 before computers came available to the average consumer. When computer did come available, I purchased a computer and began entering lottery data. In Nov 1997 my home was broken into and my computer and printer, scanner, where stolen. The theives knew what they were looking for, and did not bother my tvs, stereo equiptment, camcorder, check books, or other small items that theives can easily ta

Calif. family wins $84 million SuperLotto jackpot
Call it women's intuition.Robyn Butler, a 19-year-old Palmdale woman, had the magic touch last week when she randomly selected six numbers that won her family an $84 million lotto jackpot.Butler just happened to be with her father, Vincent Butler, last Friday when he bought what turned out to be the winning ticket at a 7-Eleven in Palmdale. The digits she chose matched all five SuperLotto Plus numbers and the Meganumber drawn Saturday night - 2, 41, 17, 33, 43 and Meganumber 5. I just went with

Hoosier Lottery Does It Again
In order to fully appreciate LosingJeff's story, it's important to remember that Indiana has no mandated liability limits for any of their online games. To my knowledge, every other state lottery has them.Instead, the Hoosier Lottery prefers to actively track player selections as they're being sold, so they can cut off a number any time their sales for that number approach $600.00 on any given day. This fixes the upper limit of their payouts for the Pick-3 at no more than $300k. They call this

The gloves have come off in the legal battle over Canada's biggest-ever individual lottery jackpot. In a new court filing, Nynna Ionson, the ex-wife of $30 million lottery winner Ray Sobeski, makes it clear that she considers him a calculating liar who would go to almost any lengths to keep his new-found wealth out of her hands. . . .after winning the $30,000,000, the Husband had told reporters that he did not have anyone special in his life, Ms. Ionson says in her 54-page affidavit.
