Hoosier Lootery
that is also strange. and yes, it does sound like there's some major fraud going on. how many tickets are sold each day for each drawing, in indiana? it's not like the numbers being drawn are 'pick 4 numbers from a pool of 50', is it? if it's like everybody else's pick 4, then it's numbers from 0 to 9. and as many major urban centers as indiana has, a lot more people should be winning than what you're telling us they are.here in new mexico it's the pick 3 game that allows you to straight/box

Your lottery pool won,but you didn't play
There are 2 very recent examples of this here in Canada. In the first one, where 13 workers shared a $54M ($45M US) Jackpot in Alberta, there was one other that did not play because he was away the day the numbers were picked/played ... he expressed deep regret for not participating, and happiness for the winners, but placed no claim for a share. However, the winners were heard to say on the news they were considering givig the guy some of the winnings anyway, not a full share but a substantial a

Quickpick or QuickRIP?
Well for me personally, I use my own QP computer generators, and ball machine. Although I do occasionally throw in a few terminal QPs here and there with them. So it don't really matter to me, as I already have MY numbers in the pool anyway. But I have matched most of my 4 out of 6 numbers via terminal QPs however. Regardless, any set of numbers has just as good as chance as any others. Regardless of how well you study stats, or analyze them. I don't doubt that they want to market QPs as much

Remaining anonymous if you win jackpot?
I'm in a pool with 3 other people for Powerball and Lotto, and we have talked about that same topic. In Louisiana, and LLC or trust can be used to collect the prize, which is probably the route we'd take. The only downside to that is in our state, corporate information is available online from the Secretary of State office. In other words, officers in the corporation can easily be found by searching on their website. As for trusts, I saw the name of the owner of Duchess Trust in both the loc

Dad's Powerball lottery win causes honor student to miss exam
Straannnnngggeeeeeeee!!!! Okay, is all of this a hoax? Why bother to give a public family biography. Do you or do you not know (apparently) that this kind of JackPot won by one person or two or three family members, definitely got attention nationnwide. Did the 12/02 jackpot not do the same???? Nothing but regrets have I read about. Do you want your children disillusioned by the negative elements that are sure to follow? Another strange thing. I thought that the Lottery people could always

Why so much greed?
Yes, I agree that the terms of the payout could be clearer. I know of some people who weren't even aware that the 2nd prize is now 200,000 instead of 100,000. With the match 5, now you have a pool of money where even if only 1 person won the 2nd prize, you now have 2 multi-millionaires, with a possibility of multiple multi-millionaires, or at least millionaires (if anyone who won the 2nd prize from the last drawing also did power play). As more people become aware of the rules for the match 5,

ALLEGED Powerball winner in seclusion
When you ridicule a winner, you become a whiner!I agree with this statement. I have to agree with Brad to a point, too. It took Jack's wife a good year to say she was sorry she won....one family memeber is already saying it. If you pool together $40 (I'm not sure if that's the amount they did or not) Chewie, you're right that ends up being $8. No big loss there. You play for the off chance of winning!! If they didn't want to win, they shouldn't have played. Everyone wanted to win...whether

ALLEGED Powerball winner in seclusion
Why on earth anyone just thinks they are throwing away $40, and do not expect to win is beyond me. I would never invest $40, or even much less for that matter, on something I did not think I had a chance to win.So how much, exactly, do you throw away every draw - and what is your total loss? Betting on the lottery is so close to throwing away you money, there is very little difference. You would get a better return on a candy bar. Me thinks you're total loss excedes $40.00. Who made a better inv
