What to Do, or Not Do if You Win the 123 Million Lottery
As we all know and talk about these different large sums being advertised. The reality of most, comes down to the cash value and the take home after taxes part.... Yes, $123 Million would be a beautiful figure to have in your account right now, however the real cash value is at about $72.7 Million. Course lets get rid of Uncle Sam's cut of about 40%($29 million roughly), which leaves you with about 43.6 Million range..... Beautiful !!!...Opps, forgot about your state income tax(depending on wher

Another when you do win...
friends on fakebook
In case you didn't know, there's a huge difference between friends who are on facebook and people that you've friended on facebook.
I've got friends, good friends, and really good friends. Give me a jackpot and I'll treat all of them to dinner, but better gifts requires being better friends.
Once you make it clear that you don't have immediate and total access to your funds and that all large financial requests have to go through and be approved by your accountant

Can I be anonymous when I win in California?
In California you have the right to refuse the press conference. Your name will be released. Along with how much you won and where you purchased the ticket. Was the ticket a quick pick or self pick ? Plus, did you choose the lump sum or annuity payments. All this is still too much in my opinion.
The Lottery Commission will be able to post a photo of the ticket with your name under it.
They will also ask if they can release other information about yourself that you talked to them about.

Beginning Jackpots...
I usually play atleast one or two MM, even when its a starter jackpot just to be to be in it and also I have had lucky results when only playing on or two at a time. Haven't got my PB ticket yet, but will.
I went to the local gas station to get two fantasy five tickets and instead the clerk gave me to MM, I took them anyway and didn't end up getting fantasy five tickets until today. I always think the misprints are lucky, even if they turn out to be losers, it gives me a great amount of hope

Iowa man nearly lost $1 million Powerball prize
Pete Kemp of Des Moines , Iowa. Do not forget the rest of the Federal Taxes owed. The IRS is not satisfied with just 25% . They want 39.6% total Federal taxes. That works out to be a total of $396,000.00 . Not $250,000.00
Paper works are... Winners Claim form, two sets of ID such as Drivers License and Social Security card with your number on it. The form to declare whether you want CASH lump sum or the Annuity will be given to you at the Lottery Office. You can get this form from the Lotter

Should you win the jackpot- instant vacation till things...
I already expect to win so I won't need a vacation for things to die down. People you know and don't know will always come knocking looking for a handout, so it is best to take care of business right away and then go on vacation after you have some of that cash in your bank account(s). The last thing I would do is take a loan against my winnings as that sets a terrible precedent. Personally, I would only need a couple of days to set up the important business relationships with my attorney and CP

Mega Millions And Powerball Jackpot Won Back To Back In New York.
Well Louie, since the lotteries are rigged for those 2 states only. Here's how you can be assured of having a REAL shot at winning. Have an associate purchase you advance draw tickets in both states. Only cost you $104 for PB and $52 for MM, totaling $156 for the year. Don't worry about the little jackpots, wait til they get up to 100 million annuity range, you know, in case you have to split it with a winner from one of the non rigged states......OH CRAP, I just thought of something...What if y

N.C. Powerball lottery winner claims share of jackpot worth $188 million
Her financial future squarely rest on the team of attorneys, advisers and CPA that she retains. They all must have compassion and integrity in guiding her while not looking to line their own pockets by taking advantage of her.
This mother is ripe for crooks and even though I really hope she did her due diligence in venting these professionals, I highly doubt it. Her team of professionals should not be buddies with one another as that would present a conflict of interest. Her hometown is relat

Safely Investing Your Winnings...Or Not
After watching numerous episodes of rags to riches to rags stories, TLCML, COTL, American Greed, and 30 for 30: Broke, I wondered if anyone here knew (really and truly knew and had formulated a plan) how they would actually invest a windfall of over $130 million. Stocks, bonds, real estate, cdars?
Would you bother investing at all? At that amount, you certainly wouldn't need to. Does an old mattress or mason jars in the backyard sound like the best way for you to keep your money safely off t

Federal and State Income tax apply to whatever income you actually receive in a given tax year, whether it is wages or lottery prizes. If you take the annuity (say $100 million), then you pay income tax on the money you actually receive each year - moving more of the money to lower ta
