Still can't figure this one out? I looked on the Big Winners section on the Michigan lottery website and set the date from when the current Mega Millions started until NOV 2 and there were two prizes of $50k and above in Michigan for Mega Millions during that time and those were $50k and $3Million. For PowerBall , in Michigan, there were 84 prize at or above $50k and those were many $50k prizes and several $1million and $2million prizes. Maybe that will help you figure it out? A

I just googledmy state. This is what ai said....., Maryland scratch-off prizes are paid in a lump sum, not an annuity . Annuity payments, which distribute winnings in installments over many years, are an option only for large jackpot prizes from specific drawing games like Powerball, Mega Millions, and Multi-Match.

I stopped playing Mega Millions completely after the price of tickets increased to $5. I still play Powerball since the price remains at $2. But I will say this now. If Powerball ever increases their ticket price to $5, I will completely stop buying lottery tickets and try something else, like daytrading.

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to scrape together $5.00 to play Mega Millions more so than $2.00 to play PowerBall.... It's apparent to me at $20 - $25 Million a roll for the current MM jackpot run some if not most of y'all are having the same difficulty. These lower odds/prizes games should be capped at maybe $3.00.

Not if you are 3 years old when you win it. If you think it is better than Mega Millions or Power Ball then play it when it comes out. I cannot perceive of lottery players playing this 5.00 game daily. Some will, undoubtedly.

I don't know why Mega Millions just can't go back to the $2 ticket price, there's no shame in admitting that they got it wrong. I mean no billion dollar jackpots, slower rise in jackpot amounts. Last year I think there were (2) billion dollar jackpots at this point in the year.

I believe the reason for the drop was because the $1.7 billion Powerball jackpot was won. Mega Millions sales were up because Powerball sales were way up. Once the jackpot was won, sales for both games dropped dramatically.

So true.. I still think about the New Jersey 1.3 Billion dollar Mega Millions ticket for the March 26, 2024 drawing, that went unclaimed and expired on March 27, 2025. All to often people purchase lottery tickets then throw them in the glove box of their car or a shoe box in their home and forget all about the ticket until it is too late.
