ideal lottery pool size
I enjoy belonging to a pool since it gives me far more chances to win the lottery than I ever could get playing on my own. I never want to organize one though. I do not want the responsibility nor do I want to hunt people down for payments.
The one thing I really like about the one I currently belong to is the fact I do not have to worry about how big it gets since I can buy multiple shares. This way I can control how much I am trying to win.
It seems an ideal way to organize a pool.

ideal lottery pool size
Right now am in this weird pool.
We never seem to agree what to buy, when to buy, how to buy and how, if we win the jackpot, we are going to split the winnings.
And it's just me in the pool.
Can you imagine if it's more people than that

Holiday Raffle!
While I was living in New York, I couldn't wait for The PA Millionaire Raffle to be announced in October. It was about an hour's drive over to PA for me to buzz across I-84 and buy them. For multiple years I made many trips to PA. I organized a pool and the pool bought quite a few of them. None of the tickets I bought ever won a dime.
On one trip to PA, I bought a bunch and decided to sell them to people I knew. I sold one of the tickets to my brother. (I held them in my hand like a fan , a

Canadian man charged with theft, fraud after claiming $1M lottery prize meant for three winners
All about Encore.

If you ever run a pool you make copies of the tickets and hand out the copies to the participants before the drawing. That way it avoids any problems if someone wins with a ticket that they bought for themselves outside of the pool.

One Georgia ticket wins $983 million Mega Millions jackpot
California being allowed to make lower tier prizes parimutuel is a part of the official PB rules that all states follow. How sales revenue is apportioned to the various prize levels, and therefore the total amount of each prize pool is the same percentage for all members of the game, and unrelated to how that prize pool is used to pay winners.
How or if winners' identities are publicized is based on state law or lottery rules, and generally isn't part of the PB rules. Strangely, the official

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Our pool did not win anything in the Saturday Powerball draw.
Trying again in tonight's Powerball draw. The pool is buying tickets for every draw until the jackpot is won. Then it may switch to buying Mega Millions. Hopefully the jackpot will be large enough by then.
Good luck to everyone that is playing tonight.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
We have our pool tickets for the Tuesday draw. The best we did was a 3 times multiplier. This is two draws is a row where the highest multiplier was a 3.
The Powerball jackpot is also large enough for our pool to play. So when the Mega Millions jackpot is won, we can switch to playing Powerball.
We have played the Mega Millions game 15 draws in a row.
Good luck to everyone that is playing.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Our pool buys tickets in California. With no state tax, that leaves more money to divide among members of the pool in the event we win big. But with that comes some bad news. The prizes are parimutuel. In all other jurisdictions, the second place prize is at least $2 million. In California it varies based on how often it is won. In the next draw, second place prize is only about $0.5 million.
We have to take the good with the bad.

MM $5, PB $2, Powerplay $1I
If a lottery pool buys Powerplay, it means the last 1/3 of the pool's money has a zero chance to win the jackpot.
The purpose of a lottery pool is to maximize the participants' chances of winning the jackpot. Throwing away the last 1/3 of the pool's money on Powerplay will not change the amount of each participant's share should they win, but will reduce their chances of winning by 1/3. That makes no sense.
There is a way to guarantee a $2 million win for second prize (assuming this is n
