We have our pool tickets for the next Mega Millions draw. This time we got one ticket with a 5 times multiplier and one ticket with a 10 times multiplier. It is great getting the bigger multipliers but we need them to hit. We had a lot of larger multipliers in the previous draw but none of them hit. Correct. The only reason to spend $2 every so often is the chance to win a life changing amount. You are missing the point as to why a lot of players resent the $5 ticket price. The whole point of Mega Millions is the big jackpot and maybe the hope of second prize. It's really stupid to increase the ticket price so the lower prizes can be increased.

Thank you for that wealth of information! We have had tons of $2, $4, or $10 ticket winners over the many years and only won $50 3 times but never $100 under the old matrix and when the tickets were $1 rather Powerball or mega. Through out the years we started winning bunch of $4'ticket prizes or sometimes several $7 ticket prizes but never ever crossed pass $50. As far the return rate I appreciate you breaking that down but never ever got close to any $50k return rate so that should tell you so
