Lottery, casino shutdown cost N.J. millions
At Cafe Ole, a coffee house a block from the New Jersey capitol where business slowed to a trickle during a weeklong government shutdown, a new sign adorned the shop's door Monday.
All of you are essential to us, read the sign, referring to the 45,000 state workers who flooded back into the city on the first work day after New Jersey approved a new budget, ending a weeklong government shutdown that furloughed workers, halted most state services and closed casinos for three days.

N.J. budget deal, but lottery restart date unclear
New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine and lawmakers reached a deal yesterday on a state budget, six days into a government shutdown that shuttered casinos and threw more than 80,000 people out of work.
Corzine said about 5 p.m. that the shutdown would end in 24 to 36 hours. The budget bills first must pass both the Senate and Assembly.
He cautioned that the budget accord was not cause for celebration, because too many residents' lives had been disrupted.

Todd:
Thanks for the post.
Probably my opening post on this tread was too long, or maybe I didn't express myself as well as I should have:
Certainly there's no doubt the site is visited by members of the lottery organizations. There's never been any subterfuge, never any secret about that. It's entirely legitimate and anyone interested in seeing lottery operations succeed ought to wish for more, rather than less perusal of the site and consideration of the views of LP members.Having

Mass. Lottery licenses regained
The Massachusetts Lottery Commission has reinstated operating licenses for seven of the 11 bars or clubs that were suspended last month after poker slot machines were confiscated May 3 in state police raids.
In all, 38 poker video slot machines were seized by state police, along with $10,000 in cash, in the coordinated raids on 15 bars or clubs here, in Springfield and Chicopee. Although no criminal charges have been filed, the Lottery Commission quickly issued the suspensions.

It was the biggest jackpot on record for any lottery in the United States.
No one had come forward to claim the j

Michigan Weekly Breakdown — Fantasy 5 & Lotto 47 Trend Report (April 4-9)
Hello Rich Tucker Black,
I agree somewhat to disagree in regards to the RNG Draw Games.
I agree that the MI Lottery needs to cover operations for security reasons.
First of all in my opinion, what I had brought up has nothing to do with Pick 3 or Pick 4 games. Those games are televised every day. RNG Pick 5 and Pick 6 games are not.
The rules again simply state... the Lottery Officials (LO's) can eliminate a certain number or a combination of numbers at any time, without notice.
