Hair stylists spar over $9.5M Hoosier Lotto jackpot
Stuff like this makes me think maybe I should shut down the lottery pool I run. It started as just me and my office mate, then it grew to 13 members, and has dropped to 11 with 2 retirements. I always give copies of the tickets to all participants, so there's no question about what tickets are in the pool. If my pool does win, hopefully there won't be any disputes like this.

Are you more comfortable playing the lotto as an individual or joining a pool?
I sacrifice and go on work stints outside of the country just so I can play every single Powerball and Mega Millions drawing ALL BY MYSELF. When I win, I won't have to contend with any headaches associated with super excited lottery pool members. Besides, I just watched Lottery Ticket with Bow Wow last week and want to enjoy my lottery jackpot winning...with a pool, you will always have someone who wants to come forward with the group riding in a limo right away. I will never understand that or

Are you more comfortable playing the lotto as an individual or joining a pool?
I was in a pool for a couple of years where I use to work. It was fun and it was always the same 5 people. Whenever someone asked Eugene (who ran our pool) if they could join, he would say no because any more than 5 was too much trouble. I think if you're going to run a pool that is the way to do it. Stay with the same group of people. It's when you add people or let different people play that you run into problems if your group is lucky enough to win.

Part of a Pool?
There are several thread here on LP, mostly in Lottery News, about a pool having a winning ticket and someone who had been in the pool previously deciding they deserve a share of the winnings. Someone even commented that if you want to have a share of a winning ticket and wait a long time to get paid (because of lawsuits) go ahead and join a lottery pool.

Help wanted: manual's system
How many deviation sets was generated for the pool size (0-9)? You might take a look at generating the deviations from the pool ( this will be very random), instead of deviations based on historical data, this just a thought. can you generate all possible deviations between all digits in the pool 0-9?

Part of a Pool?
Myself, I was once part of a lottery pool at the shop where I worked. I was young and never payed really close attention what went on with the pool. I never seen the tickets, or which numbers they had, never checked what was winning combination or what lottery game it actually was. I vaguely remember as if someone told me that there was no win, that's all. If I was now a part of a pool, I'd be checking everything to make sure I am not fooled.

The Lottery Office is closed until Monday but speculation in Lapeer rages on
The owner of the store where I usually buy my tickets told me the guy he's in a pool with bought tickets at the same store selling the winner. The owner said they didn't have the winning ticket and I told him to get a lawyer if the other guy did. Any time there is a pool involved there will always be someone saying they should be part of the pool even if they didn't pay to play and demand their cut.

Lottery Pool Management - best practices?
In my pool we rolled all wins over (even when we won $500+ at one time) but it was done by mutual consent. It is a good idea to have this defined beforehand in your pool rules so you don't have to ask pool members every time you win. Say, we roll over all the wins under this preset amount and we distribute them when over the amount. Aquarius

PowerBall finally may has the edge it's been seeking
Any serious lottery player probably has a lottery program with data files of the games he plays that can import text files of other lotteries, wheels or randomly generated lines and compare them. Comparing 175,000 lines with the average lottery file can probably be done best using your home computer. Besides it doesn't prove anything if the size of the number pool doesn't change because the overall odds of a win depends on the amount of numbers in the pool and when you remove numbers from the
