Hmmm, let's all take a step back and a couple of deep breaths. The impression Todd might have anything to do with Solemntruth's web site just because it links back to Lotterypost is an error, perhaps in part due to the post suggesting Solemntruth take out an ad on Lotterypost if he wanted to advertise and another suggesting Solemntruth appeal his complaints to Todd.I suppose we all like to see Todd come down on the scammers without having to click the [Report!] button. Lack of action isn't proof

Stay with your numbers
I used to stay with my own lucky numbers (they were good for cash 5 anyway) on powerball... I gave that up because a quick study of the 100% range revealed they are not in the proper groupings to have produced any winners... now of course they could come up, but if I already know they are out of observed range, it's just a $1 donation per draw... if your lucky numbers are 1-2-3-4-5... think twice before sticking with them because they will probably not come up, and if they DO... there will

Probability of Repeats, Subsequent Draws
Dear Big game players, What per cent of the time do you get a 2 number repeat in 6/49 ? Is there an equation? What is the % of a one number repeat? What per cent do you have all even numbers..or...all odd? On the rare times that we get an all even on the 5/39 .......if I remember, your odds go down from a pool of about a half a million .....to .....around 5o,ooo . I only play all even numbers when I do play. On those days.....90% better odds. If you knew that position 3 had produced the las

Mathematical Sequences
I've been working on developing a Fibonacci inspired mathematical sequence as a tool for predicting lottery draws. I've read at least one source that claims this won't work because lottery draws are not naturally occurring phenomena. I happen to think that we and all we do are products of nature, so I'm convinced that a mathematical sequence can be a useful predictor.A couple of nights ago I managed to stumble onto creating a sequence that seems to offer quite a bit of promise. It seems to go be

Powerball 2004-04-28
Agreed.I might add that I do in fact use a number stream like that suggested by Doug, although the process by which I arrived at it (it has been constant for many years) had very little bearing on the number of times a particular number was used. The chief variable in the analysis I used was affected the expectation value of the win and not the probability of actually generating the win. I generated my stream by looking at the number of winners at each level in the California lottery (years

E-mail lottery scams arise again
A fool and his money are soon parted, especially if the fool believes everything in his e-mail box.Darrel Van Sickle wasn't fooled, however. The former owner of Darrel's Pool Supplies on Dearborn Street thought something was fishy when he got an e-mail recently telling him he had won a lottery. All he needed to collect his winnings was to contact a fiduciary agent who would facilitate a transfer of his funds, most likely by asking Van Sickle to provide his bank information so the money could be

Short-term PowerBall trend?
Quote: Originally posted by hypersoniq on April 25, 2004What methods do you use to narrow down the powerball?Frankly, I've not arrived at a tried and true method for homing in on the PowerBall. Sometimes I'm just lucky and I always try to play at least one QuickPick with my selections. I'm really not a big fan of analyzing historical trends in order to determine upcoming numbers. The balls have no memory and the little bit of historical data we have to evaluate is a woefully inadequate amount wh

Craig Jr., 43, is the second Indiana man to die this year shortly after winning the lottery. How does one use statistics to help win?
The only thing I have that I understand as an aid to help eliminate numbers by position is the 90% and 100% lists I posted in the Jackpots thread...with 42 lines, the wheel I have will only cover 0.00143 % of the white ball combos... the backbone of that wheel is the split coverage concept, having the top 2/3 full of numbers in the 90% llst that meet certain dvent criteria for wednesdays, and the bottom 1/3 as a garbage collector for numbers I decided to axe from the top lines. The repeating num

Steve Player systems are Junk gimmicks
Quote: Originally posted by AmuzingP3s on April 02, 2004That's right, BobP, a wheel is no good if the winning numbers are not among those in the wheel. But, to be honest, his advertisement arose my curiosity as to whether he has a good way of choosing the right numbers. That would definitely be what could interest me the most.By the way, I downloaded the Covermaster a few months ago, but can't understand how it works. Duh! I am looking for a 24-number wheel that doesn't cost too much, maybe up
