Lottery foes try to restrict gambling, with little success
Some New York lawmakers want the state to tell lottery-ticket buyers how slim the odds are of winning, and raise the gambling age from 18 to 21 to try to discourage gambling sprees. But those who oppose change have a ready rejoinder: The state is, in effect, addicted to the billions in revenue that Lottery games generate. The status quo is likely to prevail. If you put in the ad 'The New York Lottery jackpot is now $10 million' and in the next graph say the odds of wining are 1 in 12 m

Blog poll
I voted 'after a few months'. I want to see folks' predictions, if they posted a prediction, then the game played, then they altered or deleted their prediction an hour later, that's not right. I post thoughts and predictions on my blog here, but if you read it, that may be changing soon. Some websites just have all blogs auto-delete after 60-90 days to save space and work, that I'd go for. Some websites allow paying members postings to stay up as long as they pay the miniscule annua

Superstitions anyone ?
I know what you mean about second-guessing ones' self. Another problem is: so you pick 5 numbers, and you see an 'oops'. Do you change the 'oops', or do you keep it and play it ? So many times I have changed numbers, only to wish I never did. Changing them would not have gotten me a jackpot, but several times it was the difference between getting 3 numbers in a game vs. only 2 numbers. Once it was the diff. between 4 and 3. I'm just scared to correct an oops.

Officials hope bigger prize will rub off on more people North Carolina will soon join the majority of state lotteries with the kind of pricey scratch-off game that has helped boost game revenue nationwide. The $10 game will begin in November, N.C. Lottery Executive Director Tom Shaheen said. North Carolina is surrounded by states selling $10 tickets. OHIO Nails The Strings Test!!
JD - my system is quite simple (not a system at all, actually). Using Gail Howard's P5 wheeling program, I played with just about every wheel imaginable, and just about every combo of numbers imaginable (within a certain budget that is). Looking at past history over the several years that the NJ Cash game has been in existance, I tracked how the numbers trend, and which number combos seem to repeat. Her Lottery Advantage software allows you to track numbers pretty easily, and which numbers

N.C. Lottery sales on target
The lucky number is $3.3 million. That's how much the North Carolina lottery needs to generate per day to hit the target $420 million sought annually to help pay for education projects around the state, said Alice Garland, deputy director of the N.C. Education Lottery. How's it doing so far? Well, through Thursday, the first 22 days of the scratch-off games, the lottery had brought in $80 million, or about $3.6 million per day. While that comes in at about $300,000 per day more than

Fate, Destiny, Karma or...
Jim, could you believe that I have spent over 100 thou on pic 4 and scratch offs and cant win! This is an outrage! Try the scratch offs sometime. Spend 500 or 1000 and you might get back what you paid for 1 ticket!I use to go to Georgia and cash in scratch offs for an hour or two at a time. I am glad to know that people are putting 2 and 2 together and seeing that it is impossible for the Hoosier Lottery to never have any winners----see for yourself! All people on Lottery Post, compare the Hoosi

Same Lotto Numbers Come Up Sat and Sun

There's nothing statistically significant about the first time, because they simply had the ticket with the numbers that happened to get picked. Somebody was
