Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
I wouldn't be in any sized lottery pool ever again [I wasn't even told how much small prize monies won were being rolled-over into purchasing additional draw lines each week]!
However, for those that are in, or considering entry into, a lottery pool -- make sure that the proposed leader of your lottery pool is a fair person (this is difficult, since they'd rarely be more than a mere acquaintance)!

Are YOU in a Lottery Pool?
i used to be in a work pool...nothing was signed...but everybody who played got a copy of the tickets...either on paper, or in pdf...
its good in pdf so that way the pool heads can make specific mailing lists for certain people...all admissible in court if need be.
i quit the pool when they decided to overthrow my idea for a $50 wheel...
with $50 in quick pics...
i think if you have pool it would be a good idea to have all the members in the pool take a group photo...
have a list

Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
Stack47: Here's the thing, a few of us on LP were actually hoping that this lottery pool win would be the one notable exception and some even commented as much as you'll find in the archives. Certainly if I had the time and resources, I would do a statistical analysis of lottery pool wins that did not wind up in litigation versus those that did. That would tell a very interesting story far more substantitve than our anecdotal remarks stemming from fading memories tainted by preconcieved biases.

Looking for a format sytem for jackpot games
BlueDuck, I have 2 different formulas. One formula specific to the BN# and one formula for the WB. The last drawing I had the time to run was on 4/4/12's PB. I had 21# in my pool for the WB and 3# in my pool for the PB#. As I have been working on my formula I have been able to reduce the number from when I first had a Matrix moment and came up with this formula. I used to have a pool of between 50-53#'s. But the more I studied the result of my formula I was able to find that the number following

Maryland Mega Millions winner already in pool dispute
Says $105M is all hers; McDonald's workers say it's theirs
Mega Millions mania has plunged a Maryland McDonald's into a bubbling cauldron of controversy hotter than a deep-fried apple pie.
Workers at the fast-food joint who pooled their cash for tickets are furious at a colleague who claims she won with a ticket she bought for herself and has no intention of sharing.
We had a group plan, but I went and played by myself. [The 'winning' ticket] wasn't on the group plan, McDonald's winner

Office pool wins twice in 1 year, here is their system
That is a good way to run a pool because they collect all the money and play the same combos for the next 8 drawings. It's saves the person running the pool from collecting the money several times, making 8 trips to a store to buy the tickets and copying them for the other members.
Maybe luck just favors those who use more practical ways to run their pool because there is no edge on winning by playing this way.

Office pool wins twice in 1 year, here is their system
So I'm watching the news about an office pool in CA who won twice in one year. They attribute it to their method. The would get quick picks, they re-play those quick picks 8 times before getting a new set of quick picks.
Now, I don't see anything here that would give them a better chance of winning by doing it this way. But I'm sure a ton of people will now play this way.
