Is the lottery rigged?
States running a digital aka computer drawings are rigged period. The data given from Lotteries proves it. Total sales are up and actual winnings are down compared to sales of drawing games. They always show scratch offs as the look see the winners but they make sure not to tell you the amount of tickets printed and purchased to said games which are losers. There are no actual witnesses to the drawings only a hired team which is owned by the lottery to say it was all legit. Case to study is Ariz

It won't be long before Powerball is $5! :/
Euromillions started with 5/50*2/9 and 2 euros for 1 combination. 2 euros was the price of an espresso (not in a papercup, but served and with a spoon etc). I played lotto, two lines for one euro. I found it to expensive to play and generally find that prices are rather driven high. Playing Euromillions is only possible for people with a higher income. There is another game where you pay 10 euros for one combination. - I would play 50 cents games, also when the jackpots are not that high. A big

Lets talk about Quick Picks
Go here for QP info - http://www.flalottery.com/fantasy5 click on Top Prize Winner and Retailer Info on the right hand side of the page. Five jackpot winners last night, two were player picks, three were QP's. (2 of those were Free Tickets)
I dont play QP's simply because I dont want to give control to someone other than myself to pick the numbers I play.
I'd also add that in Florida, the QP to Player Pick ratio of jackpot winners is 50/50. In other states its 75% QP vs 25% Player Picks. S

Lottery Rules in different Countries?
United States REALLY needs to adopt Latvia Lottery Rules and very soon!
In the U.S. several individual states created lotteries, but their rules only apply within their state borders. The best example are the multiple state games like PB and MM where winning tickets can only be cashed in the state where the player bought the ticket. Even though jackpots are from contributions from each lottery jurisdiction, each one is responsible for paying only their secondary game prizes.
FYI, there a

This Post Could Get Me in a LOT of Hotwater!
I'm a big fan of Florida Fantasy5. (Yes, Todd, I know there is a forum all about FF5 but this post is applicable to more than just FF5.)
I have noticed in the Florida Lottery's report of jackpot winners and retailer information that many Fantasy5 jackpots have been won by women. Most of them were Quick Picks bought in a supermarket! Now does that say something about female lottery players or what? They go shopping, buy a FF5 QP, and their next stop is the Lottery's claim office where they wal

Oregon Lottery Payouts on Jackpot Games
Oregon doesn't even have the cash value amounts of PB or MM listed anywhere
I can only assume that the 50% figure on the OR website is the result of stupidity or extreme carelessness. NY hasn't listed cash values for years, either. The only reason I can think of is that they'd prefer players to think they're actually playing for the advertised amount instead of the lower cash value because everyone knows that bigger jackpots sell more tickets. That any particular lottery tries to take advan

Correct me If I am wrong. Powerball and Megamillion starting prize
I remember when pb would increase quickly once it hit 200 mil, now it is increasing real slow. 11 million added since Monday is real low for such a high jackpot. I think they turned a lot of people off by adding a draw. Our company pool did pb for six years and have switched to mm because of their greed. I wonder how many other office pools have done the same.
I emailed them and told them they essentially gave the middle finger to those who play our same numbers religiously, especially addin

Massachusetts player claimed $500,000 Powerball prize one day before it expired
On July 31st, 2021 a Florida Fantasy5 jackpot winning Free Ticket worth more than $215,000 was sold in a supermarket in Davie Florida. (That's a whopper of a Fantasy5 jackpot. Usually Fantasy5 jackpots are split among multiple winners, but even when there is just one winner, the prize is less than $200,000)
It's still unclaimed as of yesterday. In Florida, Fantasy5 winners have six months to claim their prize. Since June of 2012, there have been 12 unclaimed Free Ticket jackpot winners that h

New Powerball feature coming to some states
So why not give the players what we really want:
1) Starting jackpots of $40 million and minimum increases of $10 million between drawings.
2) My big pet peeve...make the secondary prize comparable to the Powerball #. If 10 is drawn (rare) or anything over two, the secondary prize still stays @ $2 million (except for California).
Glad KLC is not participating, even if they did I'm out.
