Last Tuesday's drawing of the Mega Millions jackpot was won by a single ticket sold at a Quick Stop Food Store in Edison, according to the New Jersey Lottery.
The ticket matched all six numbers of 4, 6, 32, 52, and 64, with Mega Ball number 6.

The Florida Lottery wants another look at the potential impact on education funding from legislation that would require slapping gambling-addiction warning labels on the front of tickets and ads.
Gov. Ron DeSantis is getting closer to deciding whether to approve the bill (HB 629), which passed the House and Senate in early May.
An initial projection about the bill's impact on education funding was made in March. But, appearing this week before state economists, Florida Lottery Director of

New law would stop Illinois Lottery from selling tickets after top prizes are gone
The Illinois Lottery would have to provide players with daily updates on how many top prizes remain in scratch-off games and wouldn't be able to keep selling tickets for those games indefinitely under a proposed change in state law.
The bill was introduced by Sen. Steve Stadelman in response to an investigation that found that the lottery was continuing to sell instant games, in some cases for weeks or months, after all top prizes had been claimed, with little warning to players.

N.Y. man's lottery fortune hurts home town state aid
Good fortune smiled on Richard Loveless in 2015, when the retired electrician won a $42.5 million lottery prize, but those winnings are bringing headaches to the Port Byron School District.
Loveless' winnings pushed up the school district's total wealth, as calculated by the state's school aid formulas. It bumped Port Byron from being one of New York's poorest school districts to one that's almost middle class, said Neil O'Brien, Port Byron's superintendent.
I'm thrilled he won. I play th

Lottery vending machines in Kansas may depend on whether lawmakers show up Monday
Your ability to buy lottery tickets from vending machines in Kansas may depend on how many lawmakers show up for the ceremonial last day of the session Monday.
A bill allowing the Kansas Lottery to use vending machines to sell tickets was vetoed by Gov. Sam Brownback last week.
The Legislature approved House Bill 2313 earlier this month with margins far greater than the two-thirds needed to override the veto. The House passed the bill 98-19; the Senate passed it 34-4.
