Should lottery winners share with colleagues?
I live in Washington State. At the time I ran a Pool, it was for POWERBALL only because we had Megamillions at that time. I would drive down to Oregon and buy tickets for Powerball. I would buy some just for myself, along with the pool tickets. For each drawing, each person that played for that specific drawing would sign a contract I made up. If you did not sign, that meant you did not pay and would not get anything if we did win. The contract also stated that I bought tickets of my own and if

Should lottery winners share with colleagues?
This dilemma is why lottery pools stink.
If this office lottery pool has been going for years what about previous pool members that are no longer in that office? They have previously put money in that office pool.

What's with NY Sweet Million??
The following took place in regards to the email below that username jacal5 received from the new york lottery in regards to lack of sweet millions winners and what i realized about it. I have to paste what took place in order to make a sound argument.
Here is the NY Lottery response to my question regarding the lack of Sweet Million winners:
Thank you for your e-mail.
It is still true that for $1, the Lottery's new Sweet Million game
offers the best odds of winning $1,000,00

Christmastime battle over lottery jackpot
Exactly! When someone says lotto pool at work or in my circle of friends I say NO THANKS. It just causes headaches...Either I win or lose with my few tickets having other peoples tickets in a Pool doesn't increase my odds of winning that much. These people are crazy in the end they will have to pay all eight people in the pool AND THE LAWYERS! Besides that they are going to have to wait probably until May or June 2011 to get their money.....Just end the lawsuit now cut your losses pay the 8th pe

If All 80,000 Members of LP Dedicated to Systems for PB and Pick6 We will Win it Everyday
Looks like there were 100 lines too many, the best hits were in the first 100 lines. With the first 100 lines and a little luck like the MB on line 83 being 23 instead of 24, this strategy could have broke even.
I'm not a pool players, so I think I'll stick with my usual 10-25 lines per drawing and leave the pool strategies to the pool players.

I'm thinking of starting a lottery pool
I'm thinking of starting a lottery pool with some friends and family members. MegaMillions will be coming to my state (Connecticut) after the end of January. I'm thinking of getting maybe 5 of us together, each put in $20+ and then buying $5 worth of tickets for each drawing for the next 20+ drawings (advance purchase). Each participent can pick their own 5+1 number and we will split the winnings 5 ways at the end of all the drawings unless we hit a really big win in which case we would split th

Help please! (5 if 5 of 12)
that's hard because you would have to pick the numbers that hit within the pool
most lottery systems and software don't even pick the winning numbers in their pool, so it really is kinda a waste unless you know the right pool to pick from

Is it wrong to...?
BobP
I am still waiting for an answer on that one, LOL. I use to be in an office pool, I collected the money and went and got the tickets. One big reason I was selected is because everyone else in the pool TRUSTED me. They all knew that if the lotto Pool hit they would not worry that I would take off with the tickets or have a dublicate set on the side for myself.
