NY lottery millionaire inspired by a dream
Congratulations to Edwina on her win. Hopefully she has a very long life and can enjoy her win for years to come. Interesting that Edwina said It's a lot but it's not that much money for me not to work . If I won what she did and had $86,034 after withholdings yearly that would be plenty for me to retire on. I definitely agree that the dream of her late father may have inspired her win. I feel luck was on her side since she played so rarely.

Do you think even if you play for years the chances of a decent win are still impossible?
Not true, you just have to figure out how to make it way too easy to win like previous winners have done. Those pick 3, 4, or 5 games have prizes that amount to chump change. I want a prize I can retire off of.

Take5 NY
How many times do I have to put WOW in my posts for Take 5???? I think its time for me to retire the WOW comments. Many of the things I am shocked at appear to be normal. There were NO FP's that won the jackpot - My FP's from buying $10 on one ticket also hit nothing (now I don't have to play tonight as I just play 2 nights worth to get the $10). It will be interesting to watch and see if there are alot of FP winners this month.

Auto shop owner finds winning $2.9M lottery ticket in his truck
Good for Jerry. Wanna bet he keeps his shop open for himself and his son. The high cost of living in Long Island NY and having $2.9 before taxes is not enough to close up shop and retire. One NJ Pick six winner won a $6M jackpot and just expanded his business instead of retiring.

Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $180 million
Exactly Oldschoolpa. You don't get to choose when you might win. That's up to luck and fate. I could retire on the minimum jackpot, so I'm in every draw.

$160 MILLION: largest Mega Millions jackpot in 5 months
This jackpot is more than enough for one to call it a day and retire. Waiting for it to creep over $200 mil does not increase one's chances in the least. * When l read of people sitting out a jackpot , it tells me that these folks are regular jackpot winners and they are in total control as to how the game unfolds....what a lucky bunch. ( sigh!)

Is it game over for the Texas Lottery?
Well, it will be Dec 1 before the committee has to report their findings. Plenty of time for me to hit it big and retire. LOL. And if not, and Texas no longer has a lottery, then Oklahoma becomes my lottery state.
