Massachusetts woman arrested for alleged lottery scam
That 82 year old man earned his social security check... The criminal didn't. BTW, I think as people get older they tend to trust others more than they should.

Do you believe every combination has the same probability?
I'm re-posting this because it raises a very important question which is the #1 reason I think players don't like the pre-tests.
If the same number comes up 5 times in the same position during the pre-tests, why do the lottery officials change the ball set?
There are two answers to this question.
1) They think someone tampered with the balls or machines in some way like what happened in Pa. Which is what led to all the pre and post draw tests that they do now. Obviously the security was

Do you believe every combination has the same probability?
If any Daily 4 ball is drawn four times in the same chamber, a fifth pre-test is performed. If any Daily 4ball that was drawn four times in the same chamber is drawn a fifth time in the same chamber, then the ball set in that chamber only, will not pass the pre-tests.
Sounds to me like they're doing a lot of work to ensure the randomness of the game.
Let me ask you this. If the same number comes up 5 times in the same position, why do the lottery officials change the ball set?

Getting texts with lottery results
Wander73, I don't know what you're trying to say in your response. Are you saying that Lottery post definitely no longer offers texts sent to people with the winning lottery numbers because of some sort of security concerns via email? Is there some post about this or article that Lotty Post put out a while back that talked about this? Can you please provide me with the link to the page where I can read about that? Thanks.

What will you wear...?
I will move into a hotel right away and buy a new house in a gated community as soon as possible because I know security will be a concern. But I can't claim anonymously here in Arizona, and as a computer nerd, there's a lot of information available about me online, so there's no way I can fly under the radar.

3 charged in theft of $250,000 lottery ticket
How could they the lottery tell if the ticket was bought legally just by noticing some scribbling on the back of the ticket. Sounds to me the store employee ratted them out after realizing they would not be getting their cut. This is not good security work by the lottery it just was old fashion GREED that got them.

Internal investigation concludes Tipton acted alone to rig lottery drawings
Considering how (un)professional their security and investigative departments have shown themselves to be, i wouldn't be surprised if no one would bat an eye at Tipton putting ping pong balls into the machine.

3 charged in theft of $250,000 lottery ticket
How many criminal $1,000 scratch-off winners have gone unnoticed by lottery security officials? Do they only do due diligence on big payoff hits?

Robinson's buy 6.2 Million $ home on 320 acrea in TN
As long as they have posted private property and no trespassing signs throughout the property, any would be thief/thug looking to do them harm are fair game. For all we know they could very well have a security team monitoring the property 24/7.
