Winning with Math only and absolutely no draw History
Many people on LP believe that math alone may provide timing for random events. For curiosity rather than need I did some simulations for math predictions without history for Pick 3. The results were consistent and very round. Therefore, until someone proves otherwise, I consider mathematical predictions without any base in history and statistics waste of time - I call them P P systems (Play Pray) as luck is actually the only measurement of their effectiveness.
If you think odds in Pick 3 are

$32.25 million Lotto Texas jackpot is currently the largest in the USA
At this rate my take two years to get even close to a billion. What I miss most was the EXCITEMENT when it got sky high and which ever lottery it was would throw in another $50 million or so and the frenzy was incredible. Here in KY they updated their signs to LED so it could reflect let's say $1 Billion.
KLC sent me a message this morning asking if I heard of Win, Place or Show a new $2 lotto. Said I hadn't so went to the store to play one being the first day. Of course horse country would

Why so many Unclaimed Jackpots for Mega Millions and Power Ball?
One strategy is to hold back claiming a jackpot until newer jackpots are claimed making their win old news. Or it could be drunk ticket buying then losing them.
BobP
They say (they being the little jackasses that live in people's heads) always buy lottery tickets with a six pack while wearing an irregular shirt driving a body rotted American car, a sure winner.

Illinois Lottery reopens 4 of 5 claim centers by appointment only
That's a fair question, but one that I'm willing to bet that even the NY Lottery doesn't know the answer to.
I wonder how many Take5 jackpots have been won that have yet to be paid? No way I'd mail them a jackpot winner if I had a five out of five.
Same thing for scratch off's. How many big winner scratch off tickets have yet to be claimed since the pandemic started and the offices were closed?? G5

Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Director Bishop Woosley resigns
If they are going to have lower starting jackpots and the growth will be slower due to changes they made - it should be lowered in price.
They made the changes and they will be the ones to...not...make it.... a dollar
If PB or MM or both became a $1 I'd be playing more - I bet they would see a surge in sales because more people could justify spending a $1 when they didn't want to spend $2 (or spending $2 for ticket with multiplier).

Pandemic continues to batter state lotteries and programs
Yes, greatguy, I have noticed the slow growth of MM PB. I look at the opportunities to win increasing with every draw. More chances to hit the jackpot.
For example these MM PB Cash Lump Sums are $91 and $87 million respectively. Who could not use these jackpots?
Good Luck!!

Powerball lottery winner Andrew "Jack" Whittaker dies at 72
Jack became famous because he won a record jackpot. Doubt anyone outside their families remembers the names of those winning smaller jackpots or matching five numbers winners.
He wasn't that old, but even lots of money can't prevent the inevitable when people have serious health problems.
RIP!

One Arizona lottery ticket wins $410 million Mega Millions jackpot
If I recall correctly the odds against winning PB or MM were raised because the players wanted gigantic jackpots and what players want is dictated by ticket sales. Most states have a variety of games with better odds so PB and MM are not the only games in town.
The clerk where I get gas said she had an extra MM ticket on Tuesday and asked if I wanted it and gave her two bucks. My lowest number was higher than any of the drawn numbers and my bonus number looked like it belonged in another game

One Arizona lottery ticket wins $410 million Mega Millions jackpot
I wasn't aware that the IRS wanted to lower the taxable winnings amount from $1200 to $ 600 which of course would allow them to collect more taxes.
Anyway I think 37% is too high of a rate just for winning a jackpot.
It's going to be a long summer of small jackpots for PB and Mega.

One Arizona lottery ticket wins $410 million Mega Millions jackpot
NOTE: In the Worldwide Jackpots section it shows that Lotto Texas has a higher jackpot than Mega Millions!
Congrats to the winner in Arizona
Like many people on here I have now quit both the Mega Millions and Powerball until they come up with better versions of both games
which does not seem likely anytime soon.
