In a game like MegaMillions with 175,711,536 possible combinations, only 4,405,086 or 2.5% of those combinations are going to have a chance to win anything each drawing. That means there are 171,306,450 combinations that are losers every drawing. Wouldn't it be easier to try and pick some of those winning combinations than it would be to eliminate all of those losing combinations?

No. You are incorrect. But I see where your view has gone awry. You are moving into a realm of a partial drawing when playing the game. Such a thing does not exist. Before the drawing, any number can come up. The chance of any number coming up, including a set of numbers with or without the same red ball number is the same. 2 in 195 million is always exactly the same as 1 in 97.5.

Ohio had a SLP (6/49+1)game when it added MegaMillions but SLP was already losing interest and MM revised interest in the lottery games. Eventually Ohio got rid of SLP and replaced it with a worst game Lot'O Play for a year and then got rid of it and bought back a 649 game as Classic Lotto. The old SLP rolled a minimum of $4M after each drawing and they were losing money but now the Classic Lotto rolls $100K-$200K after a drawing and Ohio is making money again with the smaller jackpots.

So have I. Sometimes, I wonder, especially, if the time of the day matters. It seems to me like I have read of big winner stories where the person bought a ticket the day of the drawing just about three or four hours prior to the drawing. It appears that this is the story I have read most often. Also, I have read that it was a spur of the moment decision (went to a store for another purpose)

TB type channel 6 in Charlotte in google and click on the place on the left where it says see the live drawing and then the screen pops up and the countdown start around 4:59 minutes before the drawing and when it gets to 20 seconds it goes slow......you can get it much easier there than at WRAL in Raleigh.

if it is a mixed ttt and you can place any numbers that you please most people would place numbers that they like for that drawing... I would always place a 670 near each other b/c I was waiting on that number to drop... I would sike myself out by psychology making myself believe that it is in the ttt and has a chance... that is what a mixed ttt would do if you could choose your own numbers. people would do it as a secuity blanket to make themselves believe there number had a chance for that dra
