Lump Sum Or Annuity? :)
Please google William Bud Post III He was a colorful character who won in 1988. I believe only the annuity was the option back then. After spending the first check in a few months he complained that all he had were bills. No money. He has since passed away in January 2006. I am sure that Lottery Post Search box has his story as well. Making the Lump Sum last for a life time is a challenge as well. Depends how much you win. Plus a bunch of other factors. Before a Senior ci

Cash 4 Life - Florida
Cash 4 Life started in Florida in February of 2017. Since then there have been 18 jackpot winners. There has been only one winner of the top tier prize of $1000 a day for life and the winners chose the 7 million dollar lump sum option. The other seventeen jackpot winners won the second tier prize of $1000 a week for life and all but two of those took the lump sum cash option of $1,000,000. Here's some scary info.... According to the Florida Lottery website, Florida Lottery offices remain clo

I have been winning very big on scratchers for a year. I have a question
Hahahaha! That is the snip man! When read the first post I'm like yeah bull snip you're up 50,000 with a system. Aren't we all.... Then I looked at the prize structure.... snip !!! Never have I seen a $30 game anything like it. 1 in 30 to win $500, and there's 30 tickets a roll too? So easy to see how you could do so well with a game like this. I always calculate how the rolls should payback too, but unfortunately scratchers suck over here in VA...nothing like that game.

Powerball to lower jackpot starting point and increases due to plunge in sales
In last night's Power Ball drawing there were no jackpot winners, so the annuity amount does go to $160 mil. There were two tickets that matched 5 of 5 without the PB # for a $1 mil prize and two tickets that added the Powerplay and won $2 mil. The two tickets without the Powerplay were sold in Colorado and the two with the Powerplay were sold in Oregon. I wonder if each of the two tickets were purchased by the same person. Some people buy the same set of numbers twice so if there a

Billion-dollar jackpot for Mega Millions?
MUSL does not want us to win a small amount this time. The lotteries control how much is won by either skimming straight off the top or by setting the odds and letting probability take care of the rest. Their only interest in how much anyone wins is the publicity they get from advertising the win. They want to advertise big jackpots to boost sales, but they're probably just as happy with 2 or 3 winners splitting the money as they are with 1 person getting it all. They might even prefer mult

The Press Event
If you are given the opportunity to do the Press Event or Media Availability would you do it? This will be where you will answer questions from the press and public after you claim your prize. The larger the prize the more interest there will be for you to do the event. You will be asked questions like: How are you feeling? What will your first purchase be? Do you have plans for your winnings? Will you give to Charity? Tell us about yourself. Where do you live? Are you a regular lottery

Canada lotteries changing biggest games to computerized drawings
l would agree with this statement from Mr Weston all good things come to an end and times change and this is all part of that process, Only If l had won a major jackpot, had chosen the annuity deal, and received my last check with these words All good things come to an end. Other than that, no, sorry Greg. Weston also said.. We actually have two sets of auditors: one who is on-site and they can examine the results to make sure that everything went according to plan, Well, Gre

Florida's biggest Powerball winner sues her own son after winnings squandered
WHY ARE ALL LOTTERY WINS TRAGIC? Because they're not. There are plenty of stories in L.P about people doing good things with their winnings, but the first unofficial rule of journalism is If it bleeds, it leads. If an editor has room for one more short story on the front page (or a producer of a TV newscast) then which story do you think they'll print/air? The one about the cop getting bitten in the groin by a dog or one about another cop rescuing an autistic girl's kitty from a tree? The
