Mega Millions to adjust starting jackpot amount, eliminate minimum increasesReply
In the interest of fairness and transparency, shouldn't Mega Millions and Powerball tell us how much sales have dropped over the last few weeks so that we can know that these changes are realistic. They are always ready to crow during big jackpots about weekly, daily and even hourly sales. Now we hear nothing. On another note, they should also drop the price now that they are lowering the jackpots while the odds of winning the same.

Auf Wiedersehen Powerball with treating loyal players like this. My point is it is not like there is a grand jackpot every drawing. Next thing you know MUSL will put Mega Millions of the chopping block too. Personally would be happier if both just went to one drawing each/week. Lottery fatigue 101.

Yeah they will never go back. It's sad because I used to buy tickets for Powerball and Mega Millions when it was only a dollar but now I only really play if my co-workers are doing an office pool.

Rework the Lower Tier Prizes for MM & PB.Reply
I would like to see a rework of both Mega Millions and PowerBall matrices to factor in greater chances for more lower tier prizes. I feel there would be less game fatigue and a greater willingness to buy a ticket when the game rolls over.

It definitely needs a matrix change, and a price change would be nice. The whole game is far too similar to Mega Millions in my opinion. If they were more differentiated I think players would be more inclined to buy both. As they are now, I notice people just pick the one that's currently got a bigger jackpot.

I sympathize with you, Lottomeister. My New Year's resolution is not to play any of the State sponsored Lottery Games to include Pick 3; Pick 4 (I never played Pick 4) or Pick 6. Instead I'm going to concentrate my efforts on Mega Millions and Powerball. At least I can cure all of my previous ill's in one fell swoop should I win. Good Luck to you in 2020 !

A memo and the proposed regulations were just posted regarding the regulation change. They are proposing to make the SuperLotto Plus annuity structure more backloaded--similar to the annuity structure of Powerball and Mega Millions.
