$1.5 BILLION: Wednesday Powerball record jackpot still rising
Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
California has the biggest population (around 39M peeps) therefore it's never surprising that someone wins from CA.
Florida is ranked number 3 on the list (around 20M peeps) in population, again not a surprise here. (note that New York has around the same amount of peeps)
and
Tennessee is ranked number 17 on the list (around 6.6M peeps) defied the odds both winning again under these new odds of 292M to 1 on November 4, 2015 ($144.1M annuity

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
The seemingly impossible has finally occurred, the $1 Billion annuity jackpot. It's exciting for players and a huge windfall for the participating lotteries...
Hopefully, jurisdictions that heavily rely on lottery proceeds make the best of it, since the bar has been dramatically raised for what will bring players out in droves in the future. Was a time when $10 million was a big deal, then $50 million, then $100 million (PA Super 7 build-up was a huge deal back in the day; 1989), etc. Now it

$675 MILLION: POWERBALL SETS ALL-TIME LOTTERY JACKPOT RECORD
You both are near correct.
Some internal guesswork figures are putting it around this much:
531,900,000 cash
869,100,000 Annuity.
The math is based off the MM record jackpot. That also was a 3-day selling jackpot - The largest jackpot ever as reported by the media back then.
That's how strong sales pushed it then.
That's how high this jackpot can go with what they know from the past sells. It could go even higher as you both point out.

Excellent Money Advice
Nice article! So looking at the levels -
level 1 = upper middle class (?) - so for those who are already in umc - nothing changes (because you probably quit your day job and this simply replaces the income you already had) - with the exception that your retirement is 100%+ funded immediately - so you are now retired. (with a personal assistant and a maid that comes in 1 or 2x/week). If you are a pilot - you simply get a new plane (of the ilk of cessna 172) - but you dont have enough duckets t

Arizona $188.9M Powerball winner claims prize
By Todd Northrop
Arizona Lottery officials say the winner of the $188.9 million Powerball jackpot has come forward to claim the prize from the June 3 drawing.
The Powerball prize money was claimed well within the 180-day time period that is given to the winner to claim the money.
According to an AP report, the winner asked not to be identified, and lottery officials didn't release any details on the person's gender, age or hometown Tuesday.
Earlier this year, state lawmakers overwhel

Many would call these 'bad' numbers, right?
I didn't say I considered them bad, I said many here, if they got those numbers on a QP, would say there were 'bad'.
First you said many here and now you're pointing you never gave any names.
Some of the things you are 'correcting that aren't true' are not true in your mind only.
But just like most of your foolish remarks, you can't even name one. The last time I looked this is a lottery discussion forum, but it's impossible to discuss why anybody would call these bad numbers when y

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Great win skeptic. To this day, I've never won anything over $100 on any gold rush game and I've bought plenty of tickets.
My favorite games were the Billion Dollar Blockbuster (despite difficulty scratching it), $200 Million Spectacular and $200K a Year for Life (I'm 33 and the life annuity would be life-changing). I've had some luck on other games, but I don't necessarily care for them.
On a side note, I receive an instant liability report for the 100X the Cash that was accurate as of
