I have a question about when a group of co-worker hit a jacpot game
Letting any agency of government have anything to do with, or be in close proximity to money that belongs to you is a huge mistake. Take the cash and run away from government. As fast as you possibly can. If you can't handle money then find someone outside of government to assist you or get your own annuity away from the greedy, grubby hands of government. Our liberal federal government and all of the liberal state governments think any money you have actually belongs to them. They w

NY Scratch-off Discussion
i bought eight $30 million a year for life, two $20 win for life spectaculars. i ended up losing on both spectaculars, getting a $100, $35, $30 and $40 from others, so basically I lost around 75 bucks. the only reason i play the win for lifes in new york is because i view them as not a scam, let me explain. in new jersey, when you read the back of any $1mil top prize scratch off, you have to receive either $650k or the top prize over 20 years.. so if you win $1mil in NJ, you end up with

Guys if you crack the Lotto, Pick3, PB dont post it here give hints but dont post it
LOL... 'Lottery Insurance'?? Isn't that called an 'annuity'? An 'International Pick 3'? If that happened, if a USA Pick 3 happened, it would get hit dozens of times a draw. Not gonna happen, at least the payoff would NEVER be enough to make it feasible. Consult an Actuary as to why.

Winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $319M sold in NY
hopeful its just 1 winner and not some lottery group, The way I figure it is that if I don't have the winning numbers, I HOPE THAT WHOEVER has the single winning ticket is a part of a LARGE lottery pool...make the win overall less dramatic. I especially love that Sargentos 100 pool that won that $200 million Powerball jackpot and each only walked away with less than $1 million each! Somebody said that 7 would be the lucky number...did not roll as one of the 6 numbers but the winning lotte

Current Mega Millions Run
Surprisingly, on 13th draws since the possibility of cross selling in MM, the average sales for 13th draws is actually lower than it was before cross selling, about 50 million. I expect though, that is about to change, though. You're right though, the probability of a rollover is much greater than the probability of one winner or more. However probability has nothing to do with outcome. The recent $380 million (annuity) jackpot's most probable outcome, with about 230 million in sales

Senior Citizens and The Lottery
It seems to me that many senior citizens play the lottery. That's a very unscientific observation I made just by being in stores and buying tickets myself, or by looking at various states lottery websites and seeing pictures of some of the winners of large prizes. First, let me say: YOU GO SENIORS!!! More power to you and I hope you win a jackpot! For those seniors that do play, we're talking about a large sum of money if you win. Will you live long enough to collect it all? Most scratch o

Merry Christmas indeed! Lucky N.Y. lottery player wins $49M
Does anyone know the rationale that lotteries use to justify only paying out approximately one half of jackpot amounts when the winner chooses a lump sum? In terms of the effects of compound interest on the present and future value of the winnings, it seems to me they have it backwards. Since lottery tickets are only sold for cash, on the day of any given drawing, the full amount of the sale proceeeds should be on deposit in the respective state's bank. Initially, approximately 1/2 is held ba

After the big win (5 million or more)
As I win my $342 million, I intend to repeatedly thank GOD. Out of all the folks playing I was the one to beat the odds. Then I intend to pay tithes on every check I receive, since I will take the annuity. Don't want the hassle of managing the whole jackpot at one time. My annual checks will help keep me grounded and living within a reasonable and realistic budget. Since I don't like folks in my biz, I don't have to worry about borrowing against the rest. Just budget what I receiv
