I took a quick look in the Wayback Machine and it appears the Mega Millions website dropped the decimal place in the cash option sometime between 2/07/12 and 3/31/12.

The Mega Millions website dropped the decimal place long before this latest big jackpot run. I can't remember exactly when they started dropping the decimal place, but it has been at least several months. (Plus MM is not run by MUSL.)

The information is generally inconsistent among lotteries. Lottery Post tries to be consistent and show the same information about every lottery. If only 5 lottery jackpots among 100 different games has its cash value published, that's not a great experience. But, that's why USA Mega exists: To show all of the info about the Mega Millions and Powerball games, not just the stuff that is consistent throughout the industry with the rest of the games.

It was on My Lottery Dream Home on HGTV... You are correct!!!! I watched that episode... was a good one. Most episodes feature winners who won 1 to 2 million... He was the largest one to date as I can see.. He hit for $180 million on Mega Millions... that's NICEEEEE!

Ok, Earl Livingston gets only $7,092 in that hospital lottery pool. Now, let's say that Earl and that 141 hospital workers and of course that guy from South Carolina, a total of 143 persons had won that huge Mega Millions jackpot of $1.537 billion. How much money would each would have won? I got my calculator out and it came out to $10,748,252. It would have been great but that didn't happen, only one lucky guy from South Carolina had won!

Florida only has 2 mega millions jackpot wins. 4 years apart. We need another one. but maybe its a pattern an we ill not get one until every 4 years. so next time its 2022 it looks like.
