Read that the Mega millions consortium which I understand is made up from folks around the country, not just Georgia. That group decided not to up the estimated jackpot but increased the cash option 'just a little'.

I just bought an extra Mega Millions Ticket and then helped a young woman that attempting to purchase $20 worth of MM tickets at the touch screen lottery machine. She was very confused and had already put in her money. In the end she got her tickets and I almost forgot to purchase my lunch meat at the deli LOL!

I think lotto regulars will win the billion dollar jackpot?
There hasn't been a bump in the jackpot amount. I think people are cutting back on playing because of the long odds. Maybe some pools will be in the game; however, I think the lotto regulars will take this one. This may be a teachable moment for Mega Millions and Powerball. They may have to go back to around 258 million combos to strike a nice balance.

Mega Millions is drawn in Georgia; Powerball in Florida. I believe Powerball moved from Florida to it's former home in Iowa due to hurricane. Don't know for sure but I believe PB has returned to Florida. I haven't read anything about Mega Millions being moved. Georgia was hit by hurricane Michael, but I don't believe Atlanta was shut down. Maybe someone with current information can post what they know.
