The lottery has no control over the lottery balls in those machines when they are drawn.
Computerized drawings have been debated wether they can control the outcome.

Pick-3 Florida Prediction Forum transfer of discussion
A poster in the Florida P-3 prediction forum was writing opinions on the subject regarding how folks on the LP should pick their numbers. YUP... Should pick their numbers. ..... Out of respect to Todd's rules, the thread in the P-3 Florida prediction is reserved soley for predictions. I thought I'd carry it over to the discussion forum. Victory1970 expressed his/her opinion on the subject, and it was tmead's suggestion to have the debate continued in the correct forum.

POLL - On The Whole Do The Lotteries Provide Truly Random Numbers?
I'm not trying to come to the defense of computerized drawings, but things like that do happen on occasion. If you do 10,000 drawings or so from a lotto machine, it's likely something strange is going to happen at some point. Here are some interesting things I've noticed from states that do ball drawings:
Virginia: 03-13-10 day: 930 / 03-14-10 day: 939 / 03-15-10 day: 934.
Texas: 07-15-10 day: 104 / 07-17-10 day: 105 / 07-19-10 nite: 103.
And perhaps the most amazing of all: Kentucky -

The REAL reason lotteries like RNG.
I don't know, seeing they'd probably just say that while 6,000 people don't like computerized drawings, 600,000 don't care, and hence we dont care. My solution, get 6,000,000 signatures. Maybe they'd care then.
Sometimes, I get discouraged.

Could the Lottery offical do this??
Wouldn't everyone like to believe so, but certain things make me wonder. For an example, the big one.. Computerized drawings. Another example, didn't the MM jackpot get hit 2 times in a row recently? What if that happened often, I imagine they would start losing money faster than they are gaining it.
I don't think they are selecting the winning number persay, but I do think there's more behind that computerized drawing than a random number generator.

Good Chance
104 (straight) has hit somewhere on the past 3 Saturdays. All of these have been evening drawings in states with computerized drawings.
1/23 - Kansas
1/30 - Washington D.C.
2/06 - Washington State
Following this pattern, 104 might hit tonight in AZ, CA, DC, DE, ID, IN, KS, LA, MN, MO, NM, OK, TN, WI. Personally, I like Delaware or Tennessee for tonight. 104 has hit in Tennessee twice since November 21, and 104 has 5 Saturday wins in Delaware. DC might hit again because 104 is p

ARe Hackers 1 step ahead in the lotto??I always had a hunch..
I stopped playing the Tennessee Lotto when they went to computerized drawings for the reasons Todd mentioned. There is just too much hidden from the public's view.
I do not believe the games are fair. Winning a jackpot with the odds the way they are is extremely difficult. Imagine your chances should the State manipulate those drawing behind closed doors.

There is no reason Mega Millions and Powerball can't allow jackpot winners to remain anoymous
I dont trust computerized drawings, which the hoosier lottery uses. Indiana allows anonymous winners. Also, the Indiana lotto almost never gets above a few million, where before, when they used balls and it was televised, it would get over 10M quite often.
Plus, the lottery is set at 1M for the first 2 drawings after a winner, so it isnt even increased if a winner isnt chosen until a 3rd drawing and then only increases 500K. Also, the cash option is so low, it isnt even worth playing. Last wi

ARKANSAS LOTTERY DRAWINGS TO BE COMPUTERIZED
This is exactly why people think people from Arkansas are unintelligent, ingnorant, hillibillies. Forget what the people want deserve, it's what the fatcats, who probably get a kickback, want they shove it down your throat. I don't trust computerized drawings you shouldn't either. One wrong entry in a program your ticket could have no chance of winning. It's already happened in multiple states. You think Arkansas is intelligent enough to not make any mistakes? Also, I believe, so do others, that
